Internal diameter too tight to fit on my aeropress clear, returning.

no espresso style w/0 this, infact, they should make this the normal piece, the original one it comes with is only good for people that like american style coffe, but at that point just make drip.

Got this as a backup since I own an Aeropress Go and an Original. This filter cap is a hair too large. I can insert but cannot turn to lock it in. It's too tight of a fit and hard to remove. Unusable and deserves no stars. Do not buy.

I've recently gotten into making my morning cup of coffee using an AeroPress Original. I ordered this Flow Control Filter Cap for AeroPress Original as an alternative to using the inverted method of brewing coffee. Unfortunately, this product does not fit my AeroPress Original, despite the product title and description specifically stating that it would fit. While pushing and pressing on this filter cap to try to "make it fit," it actually got stuck while only partially on, and then I had to pry it loose. So the measurements of this filter are off by a lot for the AeroPress Original. Compare this to my OEM filter cap that came with my AeroPress Original that easily slips on, locks, unlocks, and comes off without any effort at all. I know that this product page explicitly states that it is "not compatible with AeroPress XL and Original made before 2014," but mine is a current AeroPress Original that has the new packaging. This product may have quality control issues or it simply hasn't been designed for the AeroPress Original. Considering the pricing, that's very disappointing.

Take everything great about the aeropress and make it so much better. Makes an already great cup of coffee and elevates it to another level. Very espresso-like with the smaller hole as you generate much higher amounts of pressure. I love my aeropress and this made me love it even more.

The media could not be loaded. The seal on my YRP Prismo filter is starting to leak and I want a pressure cap that doesn’t need a proprietary filter, so I decided to try this cap. Considering this cap is twice the price, I expected it to come with the metal filter. Luckily I had another generic metal filter but I didn’t get to the point of trying it. I found out this cap’s tolerances are so tight that it takes ~10lbs of force to seat, unlike both of my other caps that drop right in place. Without a filter installed, I am barely able to engage the locking tabs on the Aeropress. I would understand this extreme fit if the cap was dealing with high pressures, but when I added water to test the valve a constant stream ran right out under gravity. The fitment issues could possibly be loosened up, but the little valve is sealed in the cap and not replaceable. This cap is a definite pass since it fails the main purpose of flow control and it doesn’t even fit the Aeropress.

This has been a great addition to my aeropress. Super easy to use and makes an aeropress brew even better. Fits great and creates a solid seal. Really easy to clean for quick round 2 brewing. Great value over name brand.
