Winsor & Newton Drawing Ink, 14ml Bottle, White

I have tried many products to make modifications or just erase border line art in coloring books (Posca pens, Gelly roll pens, white acrylic, you name it). The product that has performed the best, especially if you need to put color over it again, is this ink. It is a bit more sheer than Posca, but it will perform better if you need to put color again on top. It won't dry bumpy like Posca pens do, and it won't scratch off like gel pens do when you try to color over them. I have successfully "erased" whole areas of a coloring page and colored over them no problem. Use with the paint brush that has size or finish you need and it will work great for either details or large areas. Great product!

This is the first time using Windsor Newton Ink. I am pleasantly surprised at how good it works in coloring books. The coverage is excellant!

I looked at many white inks and chose this one based on other Winsor & Newton products that I've purchased. It's a very nice drawing ink, however, I gave it a four-star rating because I was hoping it would be a bit more opaque, especially over black. I do have to use multiple coats on black or dark papers if I want a true white result.

Really impressed so far with the white ink! I use it for touching over areas I want to change in colored pencil drawings. Works much better than white ball point or felt tip pen. Doesn’t flake like some white ink pens, covers with nice, smooth opacity. I apply it using a fine point paint or indenting stylus with a metal ball on the end; it goes on like silk without beading and/or puddling.

No fault of the product, timing and my lack of experience with dip pens, I’m not giving up. Will update when I’ve had a decent try at it.

Like with any ink color, the finer the nib, the less you will see the color. For this one to show up on any darker colored paper, you need your largest nib pens. The top writing was done using a Lami safari with a B nib. Bottom writing was done using my Lami 2000 with a BB nib. I am satisfied and willing to continue buying this and other inks for my largest nib pens in order to continue using my black paper journal.

Habe diese Tinte bestellt, um damit Pflanzetiketten aus Schiefer zu beschriften.Mit einer Stahlfeder hat das sehr gut funktioniert und ist bisher weitestgehend wasserfest (stellenweise hat sich ein Stück Schrift gelöst, vermutlich weil Reste eines alten Fettstiftes darunter)

I'm still looking for a great application for this ink as it seems watery to me, not as opaque as I had hoped when applying over other mediums. Being an amateur with inks, I may not have the range of knowledge for it's application so that's a consideration for you as you read this. I usually love winsor and newton so am still hopeful this product will find purpose in my arsenal of supplies. Currently though, it's sits mostly lonely and unfulfilled on my shelf.
