I was looking to upgrade to a laptop with USB4/Firewire 4. I usually by HPs but I could not find what I wanted in them so I bought this Lenovo. In general it is a fine laptop.But There were a couple of hitches. I use an external Bluetooth adapter. For My HP laptops, all I had to do was go into Device Manager and disable my onboard adapter and then I could add my external one and it would detect, configure and operate with ease. With the Lenovo, I had to disable the onboard adapter in the BIOS, before I could add my external adapter.In general it seems to run just fine, So unless something unexpected comes up, I'll keep it.

I personally only use asus or alienware computers. When it comes to laptops, nothing is better than asus, lets make that very clear. However, I got this for a family member and was very impressed with it when assessing it and setting it up. For an average user who wants a great computer on a budget, this is a winner. No frills, just a solid workhorse for standard office use, you cant beat this (ok you can, dell has excellent compd units). I enjoyed the build quality and sleek design of this computer. The USB C power is great, tiny adapter is always nice. And the computer comes with a bag, how 2010 is that? I love it. No obvious markings of fingerprint scanner on the packaging, I just went into windows settings, selected fingerprint, and what do you know, the fingerprint scanner is on the power button, nice. Maybe put a sticker noting that it is a feature.Would I buy this computer for myself? never, I need graphics and gaming. But I will suggest this computer to anyone who does not want a dell or asus and is looking for a reliable office computer. It has a very sexy sleek look to it.

Great for server-side IT pros. We've purchased/used several brands of laptops over the past 25 years (Dell, Toshiba, IBM/Lenovo, ASUS, Apple/Macbook, MSI, Gateway). Of those only the Macbook and the Lenovo ran with no hiccups, no overheating, no issues at all.The reasons I prefer Lenovo over Macbook:1. Apple's iOS and app software have declined (as if they retained management in USA, off-shored developers, and were bitten by resultant/traditional communication issues).2. More durable/rugged. I dropped my first Lenovo off a desktop (back in the old SCSI harddrive days) and it wasn't affected (could not say the same for the Macbook).3. price4. better compatibility with business apps/helpdesk-support5. hardware (touchpad, track-ball, left/right mouse buttons by touchpad)Lenovo and Macbook are both good machines that run cool and quiet, but my Lenovo experiences are significantly superior to my Macbook ones.

Everything just works after unpackage it and plugin power. I like it has just one C driver of 2T so I don't have to worry about the C driver space anymore. It really fast and everything feels like fresh new. I have used multiple ThinkPad in the past so I like its durability.
