I bought this as a portable workstation. I wanted the 32 GB of memory most, and I wanted a fast-ish processor for future proofing. It does the job very well. It boots quickly and runs fast. The display is clear and bright, although I'm not using its abilities.It's not a laptop; it's a portable. Battery life is only a few hours, and it's heavy. At the same time, I have no problem carrying it around.Different configurations of this model have different charging and battery BIOS options. Mine doesn't allow limiting charging to 80%, and USB charging doesn't seem to work. HP should fix this, but it's not really a problem. The--enormous--power brick has long cords and charges quickly.BTW, I erased Windows 11 and loaded Ubuntu 24.04. The only problem I found is that suspend mode doesn't work at all. I just shut down and restart; start up is fast enough that I don't mind.

Garbage product. Apparently these are 8gb laptops that hp or this 3rd party seller refurbished to 32gb and adds a gpu somehow?Laptop boots but crashes after 10 to 15 minutes of up time. Really disappointed and never buying here again. Spent nearly 1k on this and it doesn't work.

Came exactly how it was described. Runs very smoothly on high settings on most games. Forza 5 on most all high settings getting a smooth 160-175 fps with frame generation on. Battery seems like it will last around 6-7 hours as long as you turn the laptop on “ECO” mode in the OMEN gaming hub and have display on around half brightness.

Was very impressed and super happy with the performance when I first received the laptop. However, as another reviewer has stated, I started to get blue screens minutes after booting up. I bought this for a work trip and wasn't able to work!Turns out the seller "upgraded" the laptop with incompatible memory. I had to run to Best Buy and spend another $70 to pick up decent RAM (Corsair Vengeance) to replace what was in this thing. Hopefully some other people are reading this review... The laptop does work well with DDR5 @ 4800MHz.Anyway, now that it's back in action, it's a fast laptop that's capable of gaming (can play Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 easily). I'm happy with it, but it's been quite a headache.

Sent me a lower specced laptop than I paid for.

System is lightweight with good battery time and excellent graphics. I'm very pleased.

With the 75W NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, this laptop is able to play high-end games with high graphic settings. I tested it on Forza Horizon 5 with ultra settings and it ran very smoothly. I also tested Baldur's Gate 3 and it also ran well with high graphics.The fans can get a bit loud, but typically only turn on during intense activity, and they are good at keeping the laptop cool. The top of the laptop and the keyboard might only feel slightly warm after a long session.One annoying thing about the laptop is that there is no Fn lock button, so by default, to activate buttons such as volume or brightness, users need to press Fn+button to activate the relevant action.I was a little disappointed that there were no biometrics in this laptop, but I can live with that.For the price, it is quite good; it plays games and runs Gen-AI tasks at a decent level.
