I have bought 4 desk shelves in the last 2 months looking for the right one. This is it. Its solid. The wood is really well sanded and curved under. Has a little metal felt lined shelf. The height to me was the deciding factor. I needed one not over about 4 inches and this did it. Highly recommend this one. Also got the tray but that is a separate review.

Edit: the product material feels different than i expected but its fine and doesn't affect usability at all. It came with a small dent but the seller company was really easy to work with and was eager to make everything right. You won't find this product at this price point and works the exact same as the ones that are double the price.

This shelf is very similar to a you-tube-famous brand that charges outrageous prices for their desk shelves. Unlike that other brand, this one is reasonably priced, yet it is still a premium design and finish. The size is great, and easily could accommodate 2 monitores. The shelf is lined with felt, and fits my 13" laptop with about an inch to spare, so it could probably handle a 14", maybe even 15" laptop. The matching wood tray fits the shelf perfectly. I do wish the legs had an opening to snake cables through (maybe an arch at the top or bottom of each leg). But, otherwise, I am very happy with this desk shelf.

I was very excited for this but was immediately disappointed upon opening the packages. The first thing immediately stood out was that this is plywood. And not even walnut veneered plywood! It has poorly applied walnut stain. The edges and corners have been sanded and burned thru the stain/top surface veneer, there’s drips and scratches on the surface, and the black stained wooden legs are even worse quality.There was ZERO mention of this being plywood in the listing. It states Walnut and Hardwood multiple times. I could accept a Walnut veneered ply if it was a nice plywood but this is shitty, porous ply with voids and bad edge quality.I wasn’t expecting a master carpenter level of quality, but this screams of low effort, for the most amount of money someone would buy and not be willing to return because it’s barely good enough and don’t want to go through the hassle of returning. I’ll be returning this, unfortunatelyI will be returning this.

Decent workmanship, would've expected a little better given the price. It's layered wood/plywood from the looks. Not a solid piece. Surface isn't smooth as I've seen on other monitor shelves (rough and grainy feeling). The metal tray doesn't sit well in its slot. I have to angle it slightly or else it falls out. The slight angle makes it stuck out a bit.

I had some issues with the product that was shipped to me regarding the stain used on the wood to create the oak color, but KIVY promptly addressed those issues and even offered to replace and refund me for my purchase. Otherwise, I found the product to be well-designed.

Perfect! Great quality, easy to assemble and adds just enough wood tone to the desk space. Although I personally use a monitor arm, the shelf is mainly used for display item purposes for personal touch and underneath serves some functionality with organization. Love it!
