Purchased this to be heard in another room due to disability issues. Still have to get near the door for husband to hear it as very deaf.

The media could not be loaded. This is a fun "service" bell that I got as a novelty gift. I don't think it's "commercial" grade but for fun use around the house or in a small shop it will probably suffice.It makes a nice ringing sound that decays slowly once rung (see my video). Easy to use and it draws attention. If pressed very gently you can ring it without making people jump.

When shouting for dinner or help the rest of teh house tends not to hear but who could ignore a service bell?This arrived in a box wrapped in bubble wrap. There's no assembly needed, just take out the box and it is good to go. It is a mechanical bell so it's waterproof and has no need for batteries or power. You can also wash it in the sink if it gets dirty and will be good to go immediatelyIt's easy to use, just press the top with a swift motion and it gives a single loud "ding" which can easily be heard a few rooms away or even through a closed door.The bell and mechanism are metal and polished to a mirror finish. The top is a bit of a rough finish though which lets it down.The bottom feels like plastic which is good as it will act as an insulator and prevent scuffing the surface it's left on.At time of review this is listed for £4.99 which seems reasonable.
