This is my second Urban Armor Gear iPad case. It is sturdy, and it fits perfectly. Unlike with my previous UAG iPad case, on this one I needed to trim off a little piece to use the finger Touch ID or Rest (finger) to open. This trimming was not a problem. I am happy with this case.

I had an original Metropolis cover for a 1st gen iPad Pro. While I tried a couple of other covers, I always found the UAG cover to be my favorite. This current Metropolis cover shares many of the characteristics of that original. As a starting point, this current cover will work for the 4th, 5th (M1) and 6th (M2) generation iPad Air pads. The sizing and placement of the cutouts for speakers, microphone, and functional buttons are exactly the same. I am using it on a 5th gen M1, also had the 4th gen before this –dimensions are the same. (Thanks Apple!). It fits over the IPad with just a little effort and is secure.What do I like about the UAG? Construction is solid, nothing feels like it will fall apart, although I am less fond about the floppiness of the front folding cover when handheld in portrait mode. This piece would benefit from a full-length connection along the length side to reduce tortional movement. In hand, it shifts and it is harder to find the most secure reading position (the pen holder helps).The cover itself provides complete front and rear coverage with reinforced corners adding drop protection. In the past, a textured cover provided a bit more grip, but this cover being smooth seems to be just as good. It stays fingerprint clean as long as you are not eating fries or bacon. I have an HD glass screen protector, this UAG cover does not impede the use of this type of “adhesive” screen protector – edges stay intact without any undue pushing or pulling.The thing I like the best about this cover, and something I wish more covers provided? The variable angle of positioning in landscape mode. Apple kind of set the standard for the original iPad cover and stand, but that rear folding triangle sets the viewing angle at a single position. The UAG allows you to position the cover for viewing at multiple angles, whether viewing content on a flat surface, on your lap, or bedside. That same bit of cover can extend out, and the magnet embedded within will also steady a metal-magnetic Bluetooth keyboard.UAG may cost a bit more, but it checks multiple boxes. If you like the functionality and choice of colors, it is hard to go wrong. 4/5.

This fits OK and I have access to all the buttons and ports. It does a great job of protecting the iPad and allows me to prop it up on my desk or lap in the horizontal position. It's not so good in the vertical position. I'm also not sure what is supposed to fit on the clip at the top unless it's the dedicated Apple stylus. It's too big to fit the rubber tipped pointers that I have here. Overall, it does a good job.

This case is good but sometimes the Apple Pencil won’t work while I put it in the charger for the iPad, every time I use it it’s read as it’s charging and I have to put it back and pulling it out every time just to use it. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE UAG!!!!!

Very professional case that’s attractive and thin. easy to travel with and not very heavy.
