ColumbiaMen's Transverse Hike Waterproof Boot

Sturdy and very light
I usually wear a regular 12 in boots but needed to get wide size for these, so I would say they run narrow in the toe box for a boot. That being said I liked the feel of them and immediately ordered the wide. I have been wearing my work boots on hikes and they are super sturdy, comfy, waterproof...but too heavy for long hikes. For how solid these feel they are extremely light. Good traction on wet surfaces. The heel design doesn't stick out but has a nice rocker to it and makes for a smooth, quiet step. So far very good, I'll update once I have a chance to walk through a few streams*water-resistance was very good, after stepping/standing in water almost to top of shoes a few times my socks got slightly damp

Great and reasonably priced.
Comfy, surprisingly light and great looking. Did one 8 miler hike in them and wore them at work for a couple of weeks so far. They perform well past their price point. These are the 2nd pair of Columbia boots I’ve owned, I’ve been very happy with both.

Excellent boot for the price
Pretty solid hiking boots. Got these for $60. Took them on a 5 day backpacking trip into Three Sisters Wilderness, and they held up great. Crossed a lot of creeks and streams and snow fields, and my feet never once felt wet.I normally take a size 13, and these fit true to size even with some pretty hardcore insoles added for additional comfort/arch support. I did almost my whole trip off trail on some pretty hardcore terrain, and my feet felt great the whole time.I'm normally a ride-or-die for Merrell's, but these are a good choice when the wallet's feeling a little lighter.

Great hiking boot
Super comfortable. Not too heavy. Study. True fit. Gives good support with high quality make and good traction. I had hiking boots that were low cut- stepped wrong and broke my ankle. Never again will we hike with the lower cut boots. These give ankle support without being too high on your ankle. Perfect.

Lightweight, comfortable, but the shoes deserve soles with better traction
These fit nicely. I like that they are lightweight. I was skeptical about the insoles that these came with, and so I purchased some Dr Scholls insoles. However, I ended up switching back to the insoles that came with these shoes as they were more comfortable for my flat-like feet. I have now put a lot of miles on these shoes, and I really love walking in them. My only gripe with these shoes is with the traction on smooth wet surfaces, like when walking over the wet metal things at the end of sidewalks, or over utility access covers and such. Otherwise, these are comfortable, with nice support, and feel as though at unity with my feet when I walk in them.

Love the support!
Bought these for a 5+ mile hike in the mountains. I’m super clumsy so the ankle support was exactly what I needed to trek on uneven surfaces! The fit was exactly as sized and the quality is amazing they still look brand new after trekking in the mud and everywhere else. They kept my feet dry in some of the low lying areas with water. The price was exactly where I needed, great value for all the perks! I would highly recommend these for hikes!

A great light weight hiking shoe that grips.
Well made and light on the feet. I thought it had faux leather from how the material looks, but it is leather... Just treated to protect. Had climbed up large sandstone boulders, free style, and found they grip as well as to be expected. Even when using the heal toe and sides of the soles. Yes, they do show wear when scuffed but that is the nature of the beast with leather. They are comfortable but you may need arch support for long treks. Very happy with the purchase and will buy a replacement pair when time comes.
