Penjing: The Chinese Art of Bonsai: A Pictorial Exploration of Its History, Aesthetics, Styles and Preservation

Fantastic book. I was very curious to determine the difference between Japanese Bonsai and Chinese Penjing. Most information or searches on the internet of "Penjing" leads you towards Japanese Saikei. The book is full of great information, and absolutely gorgeous pictures, which really capture the essence of Penjing.I hate to say it, but I may now be persuaded away from Bonsai to pursue Penjing with heavier interest.

Amazing book! I have two other books by Zhao and they are all exquisite. Packed full of information, history, how to, beautiful pictures. I would recommend these books to anyone wanting to advance their knowledge in bonsai.Book arrived as promised in excellent condition.

The pictures are beautiful and the text gives you and idea of how they were accomplished.

The content of the book is great but the book was not delivered in good shape. The paper cover was folded in the wrong place, leading to the blurb from the inside cover showing on the front. Also the book contains many typos and does not appear well proofread in English.That being said, it is a great resource on the style and history of penjing.
