I use black pepper to add to my recipe of Turmeric Golden Milk. This has been used for 1,000s of years by Ayurvedic medicine.Golden milk recipe:500ml milk (any milk)3 tsp turmeric paste (recipe below)1tsp Cinnamon (to taste)1tsp Ginger (to taste)1/8tsp Black Pepper (to open blood vessels helping to make turmeric up to 2,000 x more bio-availableI also add 1/2tsp of Coconut oil (oil helps absorption too)4tsp real honey or 4dstp of maple syrup or a bit of both to taste (this removes the bitterness of the turmeric)Add milk to saucepan; add all dry ingredients and mix then add oil and honey/syrup just b4 serving.Do not boil. Should be about 60°c.To make the turmeric paste:1 cup tumeric powder1/2 cup filtered waterPinch black pepperMix in saucepan and boil for 9 mins. Turmeric must be cooked b4 use to activate.I hope this is helpful for anyone who wants to use black pepper therapeutic ally.Do not substitute black pepper for Cayenne pepper as it's only black pepper that contains Piperine.
