Best hang on skimmer for the price hands down. Perfect on my 40b reef.

Is there a way to adjust the amount of foam or bubbles? Got is primed but it fills the cup to overflowing within a minute.I would suggest supplying some stick-on foam to put between the body of the filter and the tank so it does not vibrate against the tank.

Arrived with broken parts from the protein skimmer

I’ve had this for about a year and initially loved it. Had no issues with setup, priming or tuning. Recently, however, after a power loss I reconnected it and it is no longer priming properly. Inserting the priming tube into the water will clear out the air and cause water to flow out over the sponge as intended, but the second I remove the air hose from the water it immediately un-primes, the water drops out of the I take tube, it fills with air and can no longer pull up water. I can’t find a way to contact the seller through Amazon anymore. Considering this cost over $250, I’m pretty upset. I don’t have $200+ laying around to drop on a new skimmer right now.

AquaReady is pushing its way into the hobby. That’s a good thing. Their products which I’ve had 2 so far are of really high quality. Really strong and heavy construction which you don’t get a lot anymore. I would really recommend this company to anyone who wants a quality well built product. I had some issues with the tank overflowing. I was able to contact the seller and the customer service was amazing. They were super responsive and helpful!I installed this protein skimmer after cleaning out my 75 gallon tank. It seems to working quite well and picking up a lot. My unit didn't come with an instruction manual, so I really had to rely on watching the video. I was finally hunt down a PDF version of the manual and I feel that it's incomplete since it doesn't explain how frequently to replace the sponges and BioMax pellets. I try to schedule all of my aquarium upkeep, so information like this would be crucial. I love the fact that it hangs on the back and doesn't require an additional pump/tank to work. It also picks up a lot of debris. I can already tell that it expedites restoring my tank's water clarity after disturbing the sand during cleaning. The skimmer is also a perfect size for a 75 gallon tank.
