Excellent Tool.
Excellent tool for the money. From day one I have had to really put this circular saw through it's paces on a refurbishment project in a home I've bought. In truth, some of the uses I've put it to should really have resulted in a burnt out tool! But, that hasn't happened. It's hard to equate the stated wattage of a tool with it's ability to perform tasks but this little thing has far exceeded my expectations. Genuinely. Cutting a huge, stone resin shower tray into pieces to try to remove it from where it had been concreted in to the downstairs shower room should have been way beyond a £40 tool but it managed the abuse and is still going.

A good DIY tool
This is the cheaper alternative to brand name saws which I chose to do a bit of DIY, cutting 22 mm chipboard flooring. The saw is perfectly capable of cutting with the supplied blade. Depth of cut was easy to set, the adjustment screw lock didn't come undone during use and the laser guide is accurate for straight cuts. This saw is perfectly adequate for occasional DIY, I wouldn't imagine it would stand up to hard tradesman use but I think it is very good for the price.

PERFECT FOR USE INTENDED
I bought this so I could get the cheap noisy chipwood floorboards up that the builders seem keen to use these days. They don't tell you after about 4-5 years they will creek and squeak. The saw is adjustable and to ensure I did not go into water pipes I was able (after it was too late silly me) to have the saw 1mm less than the floorboards and break them up - I hate chipwood. This tool saved me hundreds of pounds on getting a professional out who was going to charge me over 40 times what i paid here so i am well pleased.

Safety and how to operate for new users
Overall a good product with comprehensive instructions giving good value for money. The safety and operating instructions are the most important, particularly if like me you are not a regular DIY equipment user.A link to a video of an experienced person using the product and demonstrating dos and dont's and the capabilities would be very useful

Waste of time
This is a powerful saw - nothing mini about it. But mine did not cut straight. The bevel function could be useful but only if it goes to true 90 degrees. Mine did not so the cuts were not vertical. And then it broke after about eight cuts. This was the second one I ordered - first one never showed up. Buy another brand.

Good little cutter, needs better instructions, laser is useless needs better suction hose.
Ive been cutting 9mm MDF panelling and its done a decent enough job on them. A few features need sorted though, the hose is garbage its so soft it kinked the first time of use. The securing clip on the cutting blade (for the depth) slips sometimes which I think could be dangerous, which means the blade moves to a deeper cutting depth than selected (when I say moves, it makes a huge clack noise). The securing clip to try and keep a straight edge is a bit on the short side needs another 10cm added to it for it to be worthwhile. However its mighty powerful and cuts with relative ease, but has to be at the right depth or it struggles to cut (i.e if it goes too deep).
