PowerA GameCube Style Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch - Toad

I brought this to a computer festival for some GameCube emulation. Well I did have to install a third-party driver for a macOS 10.15. (I believe it was the Xbox 360 controller driver), once that was done, this worked like a charm.Overall, I would say these are close to an original game game controller, but not 100% perfect. I asked people how it felt, and more experience, GameCube players said “close, but not exact”. I agree: close, but not exact. As far as I’m concerned, it’s close enough, are of good quality, it’s really nice not having to deal with batteries, or wireless controller is going to sleep all the time. I’m very happy I purchased this. I haven’t used it with the switch yet, but I’m hoping this will be perfect for GameCube games when the Switch 2 comes out.

Long enough to have some distance away from a tv or computer, easy to remove from controller, classic button mapping and perfect for an energy saving, no battery wasting gameplay! 10/10 will buy again if needed

Really good controller and it being wireless is so much better than having to carry around the adapter. Tight stick boxes and the extra left bumper is nice to have. Also they stayed true to their warranty policy. Got a bit of stick drift after six months and they sent me a new one after just filling out the form. The media could not be loaded. The price should not be this high for a controller of bad quality and will only last about 3 to 5 months until it starts to drift. This controller is really good for playing big games like COD, Fortnite, and even GTA, but it is better suited for playing old console games like N64, GameCube, or story games to ensure the controller lasts longer. It will eventually start to drift quicker if you keep playing multiplayer games constantly that have high skill matchmaking like Fortnite and COD.Update:January 28 2025….it started to drift so yeah only took about 1 month and 26 days

Do not spend your money on this piece of legitimate garbage. The build quality and durability is so bad that you'd be better off buying the ones over at AliExpress. Using the analog stick for maybe two weeks causes permanent damage. The amount of sheer pain is just not worth it. The buttons and analog sticks wear and sand down on the shell, making dust a constant factor. And after LIGHTLY using the controller, the joystick will simply just head down as if there's buried treasure at the bottom of the screen. Waste of money, just don't.
