Really nice knife
This knife is a joy to use. Came out of the box properly sharpened. I thought the hole in the blade was an acceptable affectation. But it is actually useful. The knife is light but feels sturdy, and is obviously well made. The lock is brilliant. Easy to open and close with one hand safely.I wish they made one that included a marlin spike.

Great!
I am very pleased with this knife.- The handle is wonderfully ergonomic, and the texture is grippy without being abrasive to hands or pockets.- The blade is "centered" in the handle when the knife is closed (a mark of manufacturing quality)- Feels like one solid piece when locked open- The edge is hair-shaving sharp- The lock is not "sticky" and disengages smoothly and easilyMy criticisms:- The edge bevel is not even (one side is slightly steeper).- The seams between the FRCP handle pieces are visible and slightly uneven** I think this might have some effect on how weather-proof the knife is, as one seam has a slight gap a little narrower than a sheet of paper but still large enough to see and ultimately hold moisture and fine debris like dust and lint. This appears to be the result of a slight imperfection in the handle scale's molding.- - -The rest of this review is an opinion piece about the brand / blade steel.Magnacut steel is the hot new thing and a lot of manufacturers are rushing to get their knives to market, but, honestly, I don't trust them to get the heat treatment right. Heat treatment has a dramatic impact on how the blade performs. Despite this, many larger knife companies (looking at you, Benchmade, CRKT, and Lionsteel) historically have sub-standard "soft" heat treatments, which largely negates the point of using - and paying for - a "super steel" like Magnacut.Spyderco is one of only a handful of companies I trust to do it "right" and independent HRC testing data consistently validates this notion. Basically, if you're buying a knife for the properties of the blade steel, buy Spyderco first (2nd place going to Hogue, Kershaw is 3rd)

Great
Light and Sharp. It’s been in salt water several times with no issues.

Hall of Fame
An American classic and hall of fame knife. Magnacut is an excellent A-tier steel and represents a historic discovery in novel steel properties. A crucible steel. The manix 2 Salt Lightweight is a tool knife for outdoor professionals. It cooks, builds fire, does surgery, and sexy AF in the new yellow. A good one-knife knife. There are some items that stirr my American pride and the Manix 2 is one of them. HOOAH.

Best edc ever?
This thing is insane, what a masterpiece. The sic bearing you can shine a light on it and it gets darker. Its so cool. I have seen absolutely zero signs of rust or or corrosion and i have satsumas right now, alot. I disgress, the magnacut also holds an edge just as well as my m4, k390, maxamet, cruwear. Spyderco really knows what they are doing with their magnacut heat treats. I saw somewhere they werent but maybe that was old and things improved idk either way it does better then my kershaw or benchmade magnacut
