Great value, works great
This is an 8-bay smart charger designed to efficiently recharge both 1.2V NiMH/NiCD and 1.5V Lithium AA and AAA batteries. It has an LCD display that clearly shows the charging progress for each individual battery. With independent charging channels, a Type-C USB input, and 0V battery activation, this is an overall good choice for a charger.Pros:– Charges a wide range of battery types, including 1.2V NiMH/NiCD and 1.5V Lithium AA/AAA.– 8 independent charging bays, allowing simultaneous charging of various battery types and levels.– Clear LCD display shows the charging status for each individual battery, making monitoring easy.– Powered by a 5V 2A Type-C USB input, so you can power it with wall adapters, power banks, or computers.– Includes a 0V battery activation function, which can potentially revive deeply discharged batteries.– Incorporates technology for safer charging, preventing overcharge, overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuits.Cons:– Does not come with a wall adapter, you have to use your own USB-C power source.– Charging speed may not be as fast as some dedicated rapid chargers for specific battery types.– Limited to AA and AAA sizes. This is an excellent investment for anyone regularly using AA and AAA rechargeable batteries, especially if you mix between NiMH/NiCD and 1.5V Lithium types. Its independent 8-bay design, clear LCD display, and USB-C power input offer significant convenience and flexibility. For the price, you will find it hard to find a better battery charger.

Fast, Reliable, and Worth Every Penny!
I’ve been using the IMREN AA/AAA battery charger for a few weeks now, and I have to say—it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made for my electronics setup. First off, the durability of the unit is impressive. It feels solid, not like one of those flimsy chargers that break after a few uses. The charge rate is fast and efficient. I’ve been able to recharge a full set of AA and AAA batteries in much less time than my older charger. The LCD display makes it super easy to monitor the battery charge levels, which I really appreciate. No more guessing or accidentally overcharging. What really stands out is the battery life I’m getting after charging—my devices are running noticeably longer between charges. It’s clear this charger is doing a good job of maintaining battery health. It also gets points for compatibility. I’ve tested it with both 1.2V NiMH/NiCD and 1.5V lithium batteries, and it handles both like a champ. And considering how versatile and reliable it is, the value for money is excellent. You're getting features usually found in much more expensive chargers.

Impressive upgrade over my ~2020 PowerOwl 8 slot USB chagers.
I bought this as an upgrade to my PowerOwl 8 slot USB chargers that I've been using for about 5 years now. The key problem with the PowerOwl units made after 2021 will give you a false-fail report on many 3rd party batteries, like Everyready Energizer and Rayovac NiMH's. After a few seconds, the charge icon flashes "full", and will not charge batteries that work perfectly fine my older pre-2021 PowerOwl chargers. The IMREN charger resolves this and other problems I had with PowerOwl.Pros:1. Accepts all NiMH (and I assume Lithium) batteries that are capable of holding a charge.2. No false-fail battery rejections so far (see 1 above).3. Only 8 slot USB charger I've found to have a backlit and fully detailed individual battery status display.4. Compact size, and accepts USB-C instead of the older Micro-USB power input.5. Batteries charged with the IMREN seem to hold a longer charge (as reported by other reviewers).Cons:1. It's almost twice the cost of similar chargers, but IMO worth it for the Pros above.2. Interrupting and restoring power when the unit contains fully charged batteries will cause a few minutes of overcharging, resulting in the batteries getting warm to the touch.

Versatile Charger for NiMh 1.2V and Lithium 1.5v
This is a nice Versatile Charger for NiMh 1.2V and Lithium 1.5v. The contacts are "spring" loaded to hold your batteries in place. Getting the batteries in and out is simple. I was able to charge Lithium 1.5V and NiMh 1.2V batteries at the same time. I got a reading of 9W while charging 8 Lithium AA batteries at the same time. The wattage varied throughout the charging process.I wished the IMREN could charge at a higher rate similar to the dedicated lithium chargers that came with the batteries; Kratax charger was 2W per AA lithium compared to 1.2W per AA lithium with the IMREN charger. It would've made this a 5 star review.Overall, it's nice not worrying about someone putting the wrong kind of battery into a charger.
