Delicious and versatile
This wheat is a bit more expensive than I usually pay per kilo but the price (currently £7.99) does cover postage, which means I don't have the expense of driving 17 miles to my usual Indian and Middle Eastern grocery stores! It's quite finely-milled, making it suitable for sweet and savoury dishes such as upma, khichdi, kheer, and tabbouleh. I also use it to add to other grains, such as buckwheat and farro when making porridge or koliva (as a dessert, not a funerary food). See my photos! The taste is very good: because it's the whole grain, it retains a slightly nutty flavour but also picks up flavours from whatever it's cooked with, or mixed into. It's very good for adding to salads, although do rinse it under cold water after cooking, to cool it! One of my favourites is a simple mix of chopped parsley and coriander leaves, halved baby plum tomatoes and black olives, pomegranate arils, and a few toasted pine nuts... as well as the dalia, of course. I dress the whole thing with a mix of pomegranate molasses, EVOO, lemon juice, and honey. It goes really well with chargrilled chicken or steamed salmon. Or even halved baked aubergines, topped with some home-made chermoula. All this is to say that this dalia is a delicious and versatile cereal product, and one that I am very happy to recommend!

very tasty and finely milled. Comparatively pricey (a bit)
PROS-finely milled-quite tastyCONS-a little more pricy than more generic versions from the grocery storeNOTES-I use cracked wheat primarily for a particular bread recipe that I make. Usually I have to run most cracked wheats through a processor, to mill them down even more finely, but these are great just out of the bag.MY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros
