A lot better than expected! Perfect for some DIY tasks......
Following on from a house flood there are some tasks I need to carry out that the insurance wasn't covering. As I've been off the tools for quite a while, all my Dewalt and Bosch/Makita were no good after sitting in a wet outbuilding for quite a while. So, not wanting to invest in the expensive stuff again as it's not going to get the daily use it normally got, I opted for the Ryobi kit, you know, the one lots of tradesmen (like myself) would turn their nose up at if it wasn't the tried and tested usual brands. The kit comprises of:Circular sawCombi drillMulti toolOrbital sander1.5ah battery4ah batteryChargerCarry caseI've used every tool so far.Circular saw - The circular saw will need a fully charged battery (4ah) and you'll get enough cuts to get your DIY jobs done. It cuts good and neat and as long as you don't put too much pressure on the saw when cutting it'll go through nice and easy. I.e - don't push to hard trying to cut quick. Let the saw do the work. I've cut some thick plyboard, laminate kitchen furniture and a couple of wood planks so far.Combi drill - It's not got the best hammer action, but I expected that and I don't need an SDS. If you are doing lots of heavy drilling, SDS is the way. If you're doing some odd DIY drilling, this'll do the job. Just get some decent masonry drill bits. I used the Bosch Hex masonry bits. I've drilled a few blinds up, wall cabinets etc. It's done the job but it does drain the battery on the hammer setting. Screwdriver though has had a good bit of use. it's nice it comes with a driver bit. Not sure about the torque/clutch setting though. Low settings still seem a bit strong before it slips at the tension but still a good tool.Multitool - Never had one before and wonder now why. It's got me out of a couple of very tricky situations trimming up some 'insitu' pieces of wood. Really good tool for that. Not sure how it fares in plaster/masonry yet but I've some diamond blades ready just in case. The sanding tight spaces has been a godsend too.Orbital sander - I've had a lot of use out of this. Does the job in a third of the time that you would be doing hand sanding. Goes through some sand paper pads a lot so get some in stock. Primarily I've been sanding interior doors and kitchen cabinets prior to painting. Recommend you use the 4ah battery first.Longevity of the kit I'm not sure. But for what I needed it to do at home it's doing fine so far. I didn't think I needed the carry bag but it's been really useful to have to keep it all together and easy to move around. If I had one criticism, it would be to have an additional 4ah battery. I'd have paid a little more for that to be included.Don't overlook this Ryobi stuff. It'll do your DIY stuff and more at a lot less than what the industry brands cost.Nice one Ryobi!

Good value for money and better than I expected.
The best purchase ever for my DIY and garden fixing. Build quality and value for money. It was a good offer. It is heavy, and when used for an extended period, you can feel the weight. Easy to use, and the battery life is long enough to complete your DIY project in a day without needing a charge.

Great kit but missing part
Kit initially looks great. I haven't tested each tool yet but upon checking everything is there it appears that the listed multi-tool adapter is missing. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find this on Amazon by Ryobi. Amazon says I must return the entire kit rather than send me the bit. Seems excessive. Anyone know if Ryobi sells this part separately on Amazon? At least then I can get a partial refund for the amount this costs. I'd like Ryobi's ideally than a no-name brand.

Great set for the money, 4 tools 2 batteries!
I had to send the 1st kit I ordered back as it had the hand sander, both batteries and the charger missing, I got the new 1 with all the tools in the bag, I recently got Into woodwork and wanted some power tools and this set had everything I needed to cut and finish the wood, all the tools feel like they will last for what I need them for, they seem just as good as some of the more expensive brands I've used before. I'm looking to try some of the garden tools too. Totally happy with this set!

Incredible Value if ...
... you need just two of these tools. I bought this for £200 and here is what is included in the kit with approx Amazon prices for the individual components:R18CSP 150mm Circular Saw £70RMT18 MultiTool £75R18PD3 Drill £54RROS18 Sander £79R18L10 2AH Battery £49RB18L49 4AH Battery £82+ charger+ bag - which could be used as a sports bagHere is what I think of the tools:Saw: Despite ugly styling, this is an excellent 150mm circular saw. Out of the box with blade fitted, it is square and true. This saw will cut 2” across and with the grain oak planks. One slight oddity - if you angle the blade for mitre cut and then set the saw for max cutting depth, you can’t quite return the saw to 0 degrees as the bottom of the saw fouls the base plate. I have an older version of this and it has been fine for years. The Multitool feels the weakest of the tools and presents the cutting edge at an odd angle. Despite this is works well enough. The drill has a lot of features including hammer and torque settings for screwdriver use. The chuck is not quite 100% true unlike my older Ryobi drill but it has lots of torque in both gears. The sander is I think the best of these tools and works really well including dust collection. You only get 3 sheets of 125mm sandpaper which isn’t very generous.I have used Ryobi tools for many years and really only needed a new battery and sander but this deal seemed too good to be true. Some people rubbish this brand but I have abused their tools for years and not broken anything.

Fab price and great value
Excellent set of rechargeable power tools with 2 batteries. Great price too at £158. Although one of the batteries has just stopped charging so I am waiting for Ryobi to advise if they will replace it as I expect them too, as only had the kit since Sept 2024
