Exactly as Described…
It is expensive, but performs exactly as described. Follow the directions as provided—they actually do help with getting the best results from the product. The battery lasts longer than I was expecting. It's a good product.

This antenna works surprisingly well
This antenna works surprisingly well. You can tune the loop with the dial for those wondering if the dial is simply a gain control. The gain is 20db and you find the sweet spot with the dial. I have the loop mounted outside for better reception. It doesn't compare to a larger antenna like a full wave loop or similar, but if you don't have the space for a large antenna this is a great alternative. I recommend it for those with space restrictions or for travel.

My loop did nothing.
I tried the loop using the TRS connection on my Raddy RF919. No other fitting would fit with my radio. I tried it inside at a window and was only able to receive weak signals from otherwise strong AM frequencies. No shortwave reception at all. I tried it outside with the same results. Thankfully I had purchased it on Amazon so I returned it.

Excellent.
Quick and easy to set up. I'm using mine in the Basement ! ! ! and getting good reception of NY long-range Air Traffic Control on 11396, 8846, etc with my SONY ICF-2010 on Upper Sideband.Mike

Active SW radio loop solution to substitute outdoor HF Receive only antennas
I was using my Grundig and Kenwood TS-530S Receivers without an external antenna, and I could receive a handful of SW Stations with a simple 9:1 Balun, Coax and long Wire. Now with the GOOZEEZOO Active Shortwave Radio Loop Antenna, the amount of SW stations I can receive has increased over the Long Wire/Balun solution. My initial observation when I first used the product is, the potentiometer, feels strange, it does not rotate smoothy. But after using this product for over 2 weeks the Potentiometer is now smooth and works as described in the user manual.Depending on your SW Receiver, tuning the antenna to amplify the frequencies is audible. Once You get close to the frequency range you want to pre-amplify, you can notice the background noise rise as the Antenna Circuit resonates with the frequency range being tuned.I find that the Gain can sometimes overwhelm some Receivers so I simply de-tune a bit until I get a strong audio response with very low noise.I am pleased to enjoy more HF stations for the price that I paid. I would have rated this antenna 5 stars if the front panel knob did not feel so strange at first, and cause the signal to drop out near the center of the rotation. But now that I have used the antenna for 2 weeks, the RF Tuning Control works fine now, smooth and responsive. What I do enjoy is the low noise floor. The SW stations sound great. This indicates that the internal RF amplifier design is quiet, with good RF Gain and acceptable Phase Noise.Just be careful not to overload your RX front end and you will be fine. At the price, you even get a BNC(F) to SMA(M) included for Handheld Ham Portable Receivers. The unboxing was a happy event, and the product is packaged in a professional manner. But for the value received I think it is overpriced. I have been using it for 1 year.

Just Turn Up The Volume!
I suppose it all depends on your expectations, location and surroundings. It does increase the signal strength, but like most amplifiers, it also increases the noise. It's probably okay for extremely weak signals if you can find a sweet spot in your home and get the tuning just right. But the improvement, for me at least, is marginal, and certainly not worth the cost of this item. I get similar results with the built-in whip by simply increasing the volume.

Works, coax subpar.
Well, I mounted this outside and didn't get any reception. After some troubleshooting it looks like a piece of the included coax was damaged. After replacing the cable, it works very well. Really helps get the signals. Plus, the ability to mount the loop to the amp is very useful. Expensive, but if you are in an apartment or live in a HOA restricted house, this could help.

Instead of this, get the GA-800 ! — Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
The GA-450 loop antenna is much better than the Tecsun AN-48X indoor loop antenna; receiving 3-STARS. It has the ability to adjust antenna reception with a potentiometer, but its adjustment and/or the loop rotation is cumbersome and unreliable. However, the GA-800 gets 5-STARS. Upon the first SW scan with the Tecsun PL-880, received 200% more stations.
