Nice project, poor instructions
This is a really fun project. The instructions are minimal, but there is a great video tutorial if you search for "gothic dollhouse tutorial." Some tips:Make sure to have on hand: (1) an exacto knife; (2) some wood glue; and (3) some sand paper (ours didn't come with any). Also, if you are going to paint your dollhouse, it is best to paint the pieces before you've assembled them, but do NOT paint them before you punch them out of the boards. We learned the hard way that painting them makes it very hard to punch them out without breaking them. Also, make sure you do not get paint into the holes or on the tabs, because the paint makes it very hard to put together, and you'll spend a lot more time sanding the tabs down and cutting them with exacto knives. Otherwise, this was a lot of fun, and our 4-year-old got really into building it with us (adult assistance is definitely required).

Pretty nice house project when completed
It is a very nice house when finished, Some furniture that came with it was useful but not proportional to the house. This project takes some work, not all pieces are cut completely out, some are warped or don't exactly line up, If your planning on taking on this project whether your going to make a doll house for kids or show you'll need wood glue and filler, extra sand paper a good knife and a lot of patience. The directions are easy to follow, do not just pop pieces out without first lining them with their corresponding numbers and to make life easier paint as you go. We actually mounted our house to a board made a lake out front and a playground and are using calico critters, you can also use lego people, both work well with this house. Kids love it, it's strong and is holding it's own.

Not sure this was worth it...
First of all, it is close to impossible to decipher the instructions: mostly Chinese characters, poor translations, and none of the pieces were numbered, and the photo of the house is only for one side/perspective (so not helpful in trying to figure out how this goes together.) The pieces are not cut properly so it's very hard to make anything fit- it even says to sand and use glue, so I suppose the manufacturer understands that this is subpar quality. Punching out the pieces means cracking and chipping, which makes everything even harder to fit together.Hoping a coat of paint will act as glue and hide all the ugly bits that broke off. I read the reviews and was hopeful that I could make the best of it...but it's definitely a case of you get what you pay for, and I absolutely got that. Better off spending more to get a quality item.

The Cutest Dollhouse DIY
This dollhouse was very easy to build.I enjoyed putting it together. It is a very cute house. The furniture was harder to assemble. The lock time design is very sturdy. Not wobbly at all.I painted the round window frames purple and dormer frame and all 6 of the half round bay windows.I left the rest the all natural wood.Very contrasting.I am almost finished with the roof left to assemble.I love it!

This wears my patience thin with all of the splintering wood.
I was careful and sanded the surfaces. I even used a wood carving tool to help in removing some pieces that were stuck. This is not my first time working with a wood craft. This is not for children since I don't see it sturdy enough for playing with. I would recommend this as a display piece.I understand this is a puzzle. I scanned the guide page onto my computer and some of the numbers were still difficult to read, especially in the furniture page. I found a video on youtube about a similar model house that helped me build.I was going to give this as a gift to someone but I have to do a large amount of preparation before I finally decide if I can give it to them. Some furniture pieces are slightly larger than I would like but I think I can alter them. The bed for example is too large (takes up over half a room). I plan to cut it in half and make a daybed.Don't give this to a beginner. It might totally turn them off the joyful hobby of dollhouses. If you decide to try it, wear goggles and use fine/medium sand paper. I enjoy a challenge but I would not buy this kit again. Two stars because it's visually nice to look at once it's done and one because It has all the pieces needed.

Terrible instructions but easy to build once you figure it out
I was terrified when I opened this. One numbered sheet and boards. The way I went about it is numbered my boards like the instructions, punched em out in numerical piles and went at it like a puzzle. Finished in less than 3 hours. So to me definitely worth it once I figured it out!

Furniture and house are not the same scale.
I have worked with 1:12 scale dolls house before, so I have some experience in building. The issues with this one is thin wood. Many pieces needed to be trimmed to fit.The furniture is too large to use. I doubt I will ever try a kit such as this again.Once finished it did look cute, but took more effort than it should have.

Made mine into a Christmas House
I decided to use this as Christmas themed house. I’m going to make several houses to display for Christmas season. This was a great kit and I made a few tiny modifications- I used wood glue for assembling and trimmed off the locking pieces that stuck out on the roof and underside of base floor. The pieces fit together well. I had a lot of fun with the endless details I continue adding to decorate this house. I added some fairy string lights for a nice lighting effect. I am working on another kit from this seller now- I would definitely recommend!
