Solid and reliable. A little pricey but well-made.
I purchased a new Vistalite drum kit and wanted to get rid of my stick bag I had hanging from my floor tom. I reviewed a lot of stick bags and couldn't really find one that was definitively strong and would last. Some commenters posted that they thought the cost was a little high for this stick bag. I would agree with this fact, though this stick bag is well made and strong. The others I saw seemed flimsy, and I didn't want the material to rip after a short while. The webbing/mesh is strong and capable of holding plenty of sticks. I actually have at least a half-dozen pairs of sticks in the bag with no problem. Cosmetically, it looks good and doesn't add any clutter to your kit. I would recommend this stick bag. BMM

Works as intended
It's somewhat smaller than I was expecting. I bought this to attach to a Roland electronic drum rack, but the clamp is too small to fit around the pipes -- it looks like it is designed for tubes about 1" in diameter -- so I had to attach it to a cymbal stand instead. It otherwise appears to be a sturdy and well-made stick holder that can easily hold half-a-dozen pairs of sticks. It's not exactly as pictured since mine came monogrammed with a simple "G" logo instead of "Gibraltar Hardware" as shown in the product photo, but that's not a big deal. It ultimately does exactly what I bought it for, to keep my spare sticks within easy reach when I inevitably fling one across the room.

What It Does, It Does Well
I bought one of these (the red one) about 10 or 12 years ago. It's seen extensive use, including having multiple sticks dropped into it at once from the top, which is bound to stress the seams at the bottom--and it did; recently the holder developed a couple of holes at the seam and started leaking sticks. I bought a new one (this black one) for my show kit, and sewed up the old one for one of my practice kits. Another practice kit has an On-Stage brand stick holder, which is permanently tilted. Angle is a matter of personal preference, and I prefer Gibraltar's vertical approach, but admittedly it should be a small matter to make the angle of these adjustable, manufacturers.Another review mentioned difficulty getting sticks out due to their movement while playing. This sounds to me like a problem with hi-hat adjustment. None of my hi-hats wobble enough to move the sticks. Adjust the feet so they're all the way down. Heck, even my open drink sits in a holder attached to the hi-hat stand. No spills. If the unthinkable (and inevitable) occurs and you lose a stick in mid-song, well, that's why you have your spares in one of these. I keep three in the holder. I angle two of them away from me and one toward me, and the one is immediately available should I lose one from my hand. I don't even think about trying to catch it on its way down, I just quick-draw that spare sucker from the holster--uh, holder--and keep on going without missing a stroke. What would I do to improve it? Well, the adjustable tilt I already mentioned, and maybe slightly stronger material. Then again, I can't complain about 10-12 years of dependable service.

Most Convenient Stick Holder I've Ever Used
...and having been a drummer for 50+ years, I've used them all. This is my 3rd Gibraltar SC-SH, not because the others had to be replaced, but because they didn't. What I mean is that I actively use several different drum kits, depending on the kind of gig, and I have 3 different kits set up with these stickholders.Quick note: The picture is inaccurate. All 3 of mine arrived in black, and I know several other drummers who use them and they've never seen a red one in real life either.I highly recommend this.

Just right for me.
I always have had trouble with drumsticks slipping out of my hands when I play, to the point that it was a source of humor for our band in rehearsal. This easily clips on to any stand around, so there is no problem whether you are right or left handed, and holds plenty of the tools you need, be they brushes, extra sticks, mallets, or whatever. It is not heavy, so when you are carrying your kit up and down the rickety stairs of a club, it doesn't add a lot of extra weight or size.

They are ok.
These are okay. But the plastic up breaks too easily. If you transport your drum set, you better not leave them clamped on - when I folded up my cymbal stand and put it my car, the plastic clamp broke.Other than that, they are ok. But I replaced them with a different brand.

Stick holder has updated red "G" logo NOT the white full name in letters.
This is a great item to add to any drum set. However, it is not as pictured. It does not have the large white Gibraltar name a cross it. Instead it has a red "G" logo that Gibraltar has started using. I bought a kick drum pedal as well from Gibraltar and it has the same "G" logo as the stick holder. It actually is more stylish and cool looking than the old Gibraltar name logo, so I am not bothered at all by the picture being wrong.
