I bought these "sharp" cotton buds for blending charcoal pencil drawings.They do the job perfectly!They are much cheaper than expensive blending stumps too!

The amount of cotton on these is very minimal, almost like a coating of cotton than any useful amount - they certianly wouldn't hold much liquid if you wanted to use them to apply some sort of liquid like cleaning fluid.
