ALIGMA ORGANIC SPIRULINA POWDER
Very good Sprulina Powder, you can see the slight blue colour it should have in it, they say most powders have been stripped of the blue in the algae to make blue Spirulina. It has a scoop which is handy, I know how much to take exactly. It also has a a plastic round thing with holes in it to keep it fresh I think. Smell isn't bad, definitely value for money or I won't buy it. I put it in orange juice and it tastes fine, less fishy than most. There are so many health benefits it it too including all B vitamins and good to rid heavy metals too. I bought the same companies Spirulina tablets for my daughter too.

Spirulina in powder form
This Spirulina powder supplement comes in a 500 gram resealable large pouch with a suggested dosage of 5 grams a serving in a 250ml glass. It suggests up to 3 times a day so gives between 100 and 33 days supply dependent on how much you take. The Spirulina powder pouch is 11 inches (27.5cm) by just under 8 inches (just under 20cm). The expiry date on the product is 14 months after the delivery date. Spirulina is a blue-green. It is an all in one source of nutrients including Thiamine (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), Copper, Iron and Magnesium.I am interested in Spriulina due to its potential benefits to me through its ingredients of magnesium, phycocyanin and Zeaxanthin. All in all there may be a number of potential benefits to me given my age and diet. It is Vegan friendly. It suggests you can have in water or mixed into your favourite drink or food. Price wise it seems reasonably competitive with other brands.

Great product and great value
I bought this product because I add it to my smoothies everyday. The quality of the product is excellent, there isn't any clumping and it mixes really well when blended. It does smell quite strong but that is the cases for all Spirulina in my experience. I bought the 500g pack and it lasts for a really long time. If you are buying this you can be confident you are going to get a product that you'll be more than happy with.

spirulina powder
This review is for Aligma Spirulina powder. Apart from the brand name being slightly unfortunate, this is what it says on the tin - a spirulina powder. Spirulina is said to have many health benefits due to its high nutritional content. This one is marketed for immune support. The powder dissolves in water and doesn't taste good - it tastes like what is it which is an algae-type substance. I would recommend taking it either as a shot or in a smoothie. It is quite fun to turn your normal looking smoothie blue/green by adding only a small teaspoon of this stuff. I can't confirm any of the health benefits as this is very subjective but it seems a good quality product and is priced very competitively (7.99 at the time of my review for 250g).

It's spirulina powder.. and a lot of it.
I can't say that there's anything special about this particular spirulina powder. It comes in it's own box, with the 500g pouch, a scoop and a promotional leaflet inside. There is limited nutritional information on the pack itself, and this is only for 100g, not the 5g serving provided by the scoop. On the description page, one of the images lists various minerals, antioxidants, and vitamins A through K provided, but nowhere is this information found on the pack you receive. There is a QR code on the pack that takes you to the Aligma website, and that goes through various benefits provided by algae, but still no nutritional information. When you open the pack. the powder smells like dried cat food; tastes like it too (I was young and curious). I tried mixing with 350ml water, and while I wouldn't call it tasty, it goes down. It works better in protein shakes and could be good in smoothies, but it will make everything a vibrant green. The powder itself is a deep forest green, and the texture is fine and rich (almost seeming moist to the touch); it will stick to your fingers, blender cup, and might stain things if you're not careful. If you make your own sauces, cakes or pastas, this could be an interesting addition to your repertoire. If you're in the market for spirulina powder, this could be it, but be mindful of the pack size you choose, as it will be with you for a while.
