I first saw the ring toss concept in the virgin islands. Loved relaxing with friends on the beach, having a laugh away from screens just enjoying friendly rivalry and time spent together around a simple but challenging activity. i saw this as an atypical family game and bought this for the family for Christmas and it has turned into so much more than expected.Yeah it' fun and rivals the skill and competition of quarters or other adult type activities. It can also be meditative like golf or other nuance sports and activities. But what I did not expect was that it would turn into the kind of friendly competition and score board for the family. The kids decide who does the worst chore of the day based on the outcome of the myriad of competitions and new rules they impose on the activity. There is a lot of physics and best practices discussion at the dinner table.I quickly lost my hold on the family championship, and now find myself practicing in secret just to keep up with the competition amongst the kids and their friends. And it's nice to see the kids puts down their phones for a bit to prepare for the nightly competition for who has to clean the kitchen or walk the dogs, and which one of them is on the biggest winning streak or consecutive hooks. It settles so much more definitively more than a coin toss or rock,paper, scissors.Funny how something so simple can embed itself so quickly in family and friend culture.It was one of the better gifts this holiday in that it gets used the most since the unwrap and provides a lot of laughter, banter and time together in pursuit of the Tiki Toss title. Hope this review helps any on the fence about giving it a test drive.

this is fun to play!

Great Father's Day gift for my hubby. Wanted one for outside but didn't have the "ceiling" for the rope ring to mount. This has it all. Extension rod which can attach/remove in seconds. Attached to the fence and instantly was "hooked". Great quality for all pieces. Love that the string can come in so the birds don't mess with it. Grab this one!!!!

I just put this in my vacation rental today. first i mounted it seemed to low and the second time it seems to high. I have figured out the technique a little bit since i have made a ringer twice after spending an hour trying. i think guests will like it. It requires less skill and consentration than darts and less activity than ping pong so it's a good game for some people. I think it will make a good drinking game.

Great addition to any game room. It’s also a nice solo game to reset when it’s a little chaotic.And, it doubles as a cat toy if you send it flighting in a circle. The cat won’t be able to resist hunting it down.If you play this variant be prepared to do a little DIY when they eventually detach the ring. With this type of nylon string you can use a lighter on the edge and press it against metal to seal off the end from fraying.

Bought this to put on my deck in summer, we love to play it when family or friendss come over, fun for everyone!

I put this in a vacation rental. We’ll see how it holds up. The metal pole is a telescoping pole (like an antenna), and I totally believe it will be mangled by the next time I go out to the property.It was also a little tricky to get the rope length optimal for enjoying this little game. There’s a spring loaded cam that isn’t strong enough to actually hold the string in one spot for long. So you have to tie it a few times after you figure out the best length for the rope.All in all, it looks cool and it is fun. Just not sure how durable it will be with regular renters.

The best patio game around!This is the most tiki-est, tossiest, ringiest, flingiest game around. It’s perfect for kickin’ it on the patio with a drink in hand. Even the keiki (kids), can fling the ring and feel like the “big kids” (adults)...This is the game that any back yard gaming warrior needs. I thought that this is the game that the people would play who aren’t involved in the heated bocce, ladderball or kubb matches... though it has recently become the game that people prefer to play!We hooked ‘er up with some easy to attach/remove 3M command strips and... boom - easy up, easy down... though they have included everything you need to get going out of the box. It’s also a beautiful looking and durable piece with a couple quick coats of spray-on-lacquer. We are Canadian (Eh!), but were married on Maui, and frequent Hawaii, so the beautiful Hawaiian islands have a special place in our heart <3Love this game!

Perfect little game for our tropical-themed patio. It's a big hit during social gatherings. I've found the board and the ring to be made well enough to survive being left outdoors all year round. Would recommend for sure!
