I am very impressed with the build quality on this box. It arrived in perfect condition and operates smoothly. The hinges allow for the perfect amount of resistance when opening and closing the compartments. It is less expensive than the European branded counterparts that I was considering, but is more practical to access the base opening as the handles are not an obstruction. Additionally, it appears that the handles are more robust than the competition which is the main reason I purchased this unit. I would encourage anyone searching for a cantilever toolbox to purchase this one. I did not want to lock the toolbox so I used some small rare earth magnets from harbor freight to keep the top compartment lids closed. They stay closed on their own but open almost too easily in my opinion, so two magnets under each lid was the perfect solution to keep the lids closed when moving the box around and still open with light pressure when wanted.

This is a big toolbox. Big enough for all my home bike tools. It opens and closes well and has a top pass through for a pad lock. Basic black looks classier than the standard red. I lined it with white flat packing foam (not included) to protect the tools and prevent jangling metal parts. Nice to finally fit all the lube, wrenches, and small parts into a compact but still large box. Not the same quality as a Toyo box, but not far off, and definitely larger, more affordable and your oily tools can't tell the difference. Good buy overall.

It works great, but it you will want to put more tools inside.

This is the coolest purchase i have made in recent years. The cantilever design works well. It has survived loading and unloading from the bed of my truck. The only thing to note is the bracket at the top is made for a pad lock. It bends if you use something too small. I bent it back no problem. I like this box. Easy access to all of my electrical equipment and tools. Solid tool box Strong handles.

Just something to keep my random tools and handy stuff in. Works well for a casual tool usage. Good amount of storage. Smooth hinges/opening. Heavy, metal tool box.

I picked out this tool box, despite the lack of reviews, due to Pro-Lift's other products being well received. It was also a bit more spacious than the other options in this range. Overall? I love it. The cantilever action is like butter, and the entire unit is extremely solid. Magnets hold well to it. I will end up putting some rubber feet on it so I don't bump up the wife's furniture, but even without there's no sharp or hard edges on this thing that you find on lower end tool boxes. The black is a very nice semi glossy finish. This one is for my truck, but I'm strongly considering a second for the office. I'd love an orange or red box, but I wouldn't think twice about grabbing another black one. Thanks Pro-Lift!

I needed to get all my tools out of a stuffed tool bag and into something I could clearly and easily locate what I needed. This does the trick perfectly.

I would not over fill this box. In moderation you can fit plenty of tools.
