I love this Elecci dehumidifier. It is neat and very user friendly. The layout of the controls makes it easy to use, and to me, it is excellent value. One of its main benefits is to aid drying, and, in these cold and damp winter mornings, it is just the job. It helps speed up the drying process and keeps the room free of the dampness that wet washing can create. I personally bought this to solve a problem we have with condensation around our patio door which was making the carpet damp, and this is a perfect solution for that. But it also provides multiple operation modes which makes it ideal for every circumstance. What is more, it has been designed in such a way as to make the operation foolproof: Clear controls, a welcome timer, quiet, quite light, easily moved, and easy to empty. There is even a separate hose provided which you can attach if you want to drain the water directly to a drain point, though in our case, this was not necessary. The size surprised me too. It is very compact and because of that, it does not become a “feature” of the room. Overall, this model has everything I need at a very reasonable price. If you want to speed up drying, have problems with condensation or another related need, then from my point of view this model is a definite winner.

Nice and compact, very quiet, works a treat. We bought one for downstairs, used it for a month and was so impressed, that we bought another for upstairs. Well worth the money.

I've had this dehumidifier running 24/7 since the beginning of March 2024 and I'm very impressed with it. At the time of purchase it was excellent value for money (£129). I bought it mainly for 2 reasons, 1, my bedroom was beginning to show signs of damp & had high levels of condensation on the windows in the mornings especially. 2, I have a large number of books which I don't want exposed to high levels of moisture.To get the full benefit you should have the windows and doors shut in the room.When I walk into my bedroom there is a tangible difference in the air quality compared to the rest of the house and I have had no condensation on the inside of my bedroom window since I've been using this dehumidifier.The pros are:Very easy to set upYou can set it to maintain a specific humidity % if requiredVery well madeComes with an optional hose pipe so can drain water either into internal tank or via hose into a bucket etcCons:Noise - it's hard to describe the noise level but I'd say it's about as loud as a fridge with a desk fan running at medium speed next to it, so not loud as such but not quiet either. I have it in my bedroom and have got used to it but if you're a light sleeper you might struggle to sleep with this in your roomInternal tank - the internal tank is not particularly practical - for one it's not very big; although it can hold probably a couple of pints of water, if your room has high humidity as mine did, you will be emptying it every day. Emptying it is a faff as although the device turns off when the tank is full, it is completely full, meaning you need very steady hands to avoid spilling water. Also there is no handle of any kind on the tank making it awkward to slide out and carry when full of waterFilter - the filter on the back of the device above the tank can be removed to be washed. Great. If you can remove it in the first place that is, which mine doesn't want to come off. I get round this by vacuuming it from the outside; not ideal but I don't want to risk forcing it off and breaking the clipsBe careful with placement - Do not place this on an elevated object e.g bedside table or kitchen side, at least not without something stopping it moving. This is because if you set a specific humidity %, when the humidity drops to 5% below your target the dehumidifier turns off until the humidity % rises to 5% above your target at which point it fires up with a thump and jolt / slight twisting motion meaning it moves slightly. Although only very slight is the movement, if near an edge it could 'twist' itself off the edge after a few hours.Overall, I recommend the Elecci dehumidifier.
