This works very well, and is easy to use.
This is some amazing stuff! I bought it because my new Cub Cadet ZT2 zero turn mower has a rear mounted engine and low muffler with a heat shield that gets hot after some use. Then while parked in the grass and turned off for cleaning, it was leaving a scorch mark on the grass from the hot heat shield. Placing the carbon felt between the muffler and heat shield, held in place using paper clamps, after an hour of use, I can place my hand on the heat shield and it's just warm, not burning hot. And, grass does not stick to the felt, it blows off easily with leaf blower cleaning of the mower.

Good Product. Stood up to a Torch.
Works as advertised. Put a torch to it and it just singed it a bit. I brought it for my DIY solar generator where the majority of the wiring and devices are in a drawer (hard to explain), but I stapled this blanket above it. So if a fire does occurs it shouldn’t last long enough to burn the wood, which is also treated with a flame retardant solution too.

An Excellent Insulating Material
I used part of it to insulate a ceramic cup so that it could be used as a small fire feautre in a tiki bar. I let it burn for an hour and the ceramic cup could still be picked up without any problems. The insulating properties of the material are quite impressive.

Wouldn't waste my money if I were you.m
It says cut to fit which I did and haven't even been near my Smoker and is coming apart already. Cut it to fit two fireboxes and don't think it's going to last especially if you wash it. Looked great but so far it's appears to be junk. Will know this weekend if it works or burns up.
