Solid Replacement Charger

I purchased this charger as I can't seem to find my surface charger that came with my surface. I have a dock, so I really don't use the issued one except on rare occasions where I'm traveling and don't want to bring the main hub. It charges the surface quickly, efficiently, and the charger is put together pretty well. It works well as a replacement, price was right and it does what it says it will do. The durability is something I will monitor as I am going forward, but I think with the limited use I intend for it, it should work out for my needs.

Excellent, Comparable to OEM

Excellent product! This charger, with built-in USB and long charging cord, comes in reliable packaging, and works perfectly with the Surface Pro 1796. The charging connector has an LED indicator which illuminates when the device is charging, and fits correctly - and stays connected magnetically - in the charging port. The adapter does warm while charging, but not to the point of risking damage to components. Overall, highly recommended!

charges like it is supposed to, but magnetic end doesn't always seat correctly

Received in as described condition. Works as described, and has a longer AC cord than the original microsoft charger had. Thats nice.My only complaint so far after 3 days of use is that when I attach the magnetic end of the charger to the Surface Pro, it doesn't automatically light up, like it is not quite aligned properly. Then I have to jiggle it around a few times and it usually turns on and works. This is only a minor inconvenience, but one that never occurred with my original charger. I have cleaned both the port and the adapter, so I doubt that is the problem.It is far less expensive then the original, so it's a 4 star but still not 5.
