100% recommend especially for DIY install using professional cable
Bit expensive but when you consider what a pair of crimping pliers will cost and then the crimp on BNC ends these are an excellent choice especially for DIY installs using coax on AHD CCTV systems...they give an excellent connection and the build quality is second to none also very easy to use..I've often had to use these on certain rg59 coax as the centre striker of the coax is too thick to fit in a usual crimp on end... I have purchased these or what appeared to be these at a cheaper price from "scambay" but unfortunately it turned out that they had used the picture from Amazon but were selling cheap nasty Chinese version with inferior screws and a cheaper metal composite that were pretty useless... subsequently I continue to purchase these. Please leave a helpful vote if my review help you make an informed choice.thank youmark

No instructions
No instructions – so, had it not been for the photo and advice from another reviewer here, I'd probably not have known how to fully open this plug (being an ' amateur').Once sorted, no problems. Makes a good replacement for a damaged CCTV cable plug (sealed type).

This is a 4 part and really solid connector.
I am providing a photo of the components of this smart connector as little is explained in the advert or in the packaging.Once you unscrew the top ring AND push out the gold plated pin from the bottom of the BNC-body, the white polymer insulator with the screw for the coax core appears. The screw in combination with the clamp for the braid provide a reliable mechanical connection.Unless you use self-amalgamating tape, I wouldn't use outdoors due to losses introduced by corrosion. Unless you skillfully solder all mechanical contacts. All in all a nicely designed and solid connector. It maintains the concentric design of the coax. Hence little effect should be introduced on desired impedance from this solid connector-thumbs up.

Too flimsy
Too flimsy and just not easy to assemble. I'll stick with Crimp Type.

Video connectors
One of the better coax fittings available, solid, easy to fit and sturdy.

Quick and simple to connect.
If you ever need to connect RG58 cable without a soldering iron or crimp tool then these are for you. I shall always keep some in my toolkit. Strip the cable end and attached to the plug with a small straight screwdriver and the job is done. Haven't done any testing for RF characteristics but it seems to work just fine. Recommended.
