Pretty good
I stretched 5 pairs of shoes. Most important is that you read ALL the directions first, so that you don't ruin the product or your shoes. Best to leave the inserts in the shoes for 2 or 3 days. Wet the leather first. Found out that you CANNOT stretch vinyl shoes or the vinyl leather will crack, so I ruined 1 pair of shoes that way. Make sure the shoes are REAL leather.

Easy stretch
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Easy to use to stretch shoes, especially toe area. Works well, but spacers on toe area do not fit well (keep falling out or won’t go in without force).

Bought twice, both failed after only a few uses
I bought these nine months ago and used them four times, and now I must replace them. They seemed a bit rickety from the start, but I attributed that to the fact that they were designed to expand and contract easily, so I wasn't very troubled by this. I should have been. The last time I used them (the 4th time), one of the stretchers got jammed in the open position and cannot be budged. In case you may be thinking that I over-tightened the handle, I should mention that I am a 70-year-old woman (and the stretcher was in a pair of shoes at the time), so if I could over-tighten it, I cringe to think of what an athletic young man could do...I'm sorry to say these shoe stretchers are simply not sufficiently well made to do the job for which they were intended.Update: As you may have surmised from the above review, the stretchers were well outside the return window when they failed. My bad for not giving them a a good testing during the first month. I bought a second pair after the first pair failed, and I am having the same/similar issues with them. I didn't intend to buy the same brand, but there are about a dozen of these offered on Amazon and they all look exactly alike. My guess is they are all sourced from the same manufacturer and sold under different brand names.Learning from my past mistake, I tried them out as soon as I received them. One of the stretchers jammed and locked in the open position (just as the previous one had), and the other opens up a little, but then just spins. I had this second set for only a week and they are now going back. I'm still looking for a decent pair of shoe stretchers, but I won't be buying this product again.

Works Good -- But....
The stretcher worked well, it stretched my new tennis shoes enough but when I tried to take the stretchers out of the shoes, the plastic end on the screw came off and stuck in between the wood pieces holding them open as you can see in the pictures. This kept the wood separated and made it difficult to pull out of the shoes. I believe I can re-glue the plastic tip back on the screw and reuse them easy enough. The free shoehorn lasted only one use, breaking when putting on the second shoe. I would still recommend getting this if you need it for only a few uses since it is fairly reasonably priced. However, if you need to get one to use often or on expensive leather shoes, you may consider getting one that is higher quality.
