This one gets a split-the-difference rating, because it's great for adults, but not for kids.In the photos, this looks very plush and inviting. In reality, it's a very overly heavy weighted stuffy, far better for adults than kids. It should have been around two to three pounds, in order to be ideal for children, and the plush-fill should have been greatly increased. This lacks the squishy feeling, when you hug it, and it looks flatter in person, when laying on the bed, and so it's not ideal for children. But, for adults, it has several uses and is actually quite good for a reading pillow or sofa pillow.Overall, it's a 3 for kids, because it's too heavy and not plush enough, but it's a 5 for adults, because it's great as a reading pillow or resting pillow, having such a unique design, and so I'm giving this a solid 4 stars, splitting the difference.If you want this for kids, it really only works as a pillow they won't cuddle with as much as their other stuffies (and, as a pillow, it really only works for small kids). As a pillow, it's solid and quite good, but it's just not soft enough to be a play-toy, and the weight is so great that, if it fell off a bed onto another kid or onto an animal, it would actually hurt them. That's why, typically, we see these toys with lighter weight than the five-pounds we have here.If you want this for an adult, this is brillaint across a lap when reading, and it's actually pretty good behind my head on the sofa (across the sofa-back), where it can't fall down. It's quite nice for a variety of uses, as to getting comfy on the couch or in my favorite chair, but I truly haven't found a great use for something so heavily weighted other than making an adult comfortable in a seated or slightly reclined position, which is what any other comfort pillow can achieve. The reason to buy this is that it looks unique and has a fun design.Good luck finding what will work for your needs.

This guy is larger than I expected. He is well made and the perfect weight for an adult or child. He is pretty and soft. A wonderful comfort item for anyone with sensory problems. His fabric is soft and he is very easy to spot clean. I havent tried to wash him yet but I believe he would be easy to wash.

Combining large, soft and cuddly with a little weight makes this a great cuddle toy or comforting "friend." It's not too heavy for a 5 year old to carry, but still enough to feel some weight and security. The fabric/fur is exceptionally soft and the face is very friendly! Equally great for a little kid who wants a substantial friend to hug, as well as for a college student who loves cute, cuddly dinosaurs!
