Great compact HDMI 1.4 over fiber extender
This actually works quite well. I'm using it to extend a 1080p DirecTV DVR HDMI output to a remote display that is about 150 feet away. Using OM3 duplex fiber terminated with LC connectors. No issues. The transmitter and receiver get warm, but not hot. Very happy with the performance. I do wish that it was HDMI 2.0 capable (for 4Kx60p) so that I could use another of these to remote a 4K UHD device, but I'll use something else for that.

Couldn't get video to transmit
I really wanted these to work, however, in the end I returned them.Just for reference this is the item I am reviewing: 10Gtek A Pair of HDMI to Fiber Optic Converter, HDMI Extender with SFP+ Transceiver, SFP+ LR Lite Module up to 2km Link Length, Support HDMI 1.4a, 4Kx2K@30HzI bought these to transmit 4K video to the other side of a church. I am a professional and installed multi strand single mode OS2 fiber optic cable. I used a fiber optic fusion splicer to connect the cables using pre-terminated pigtail connectors. After hooking everything up the HDMI video would not transmit.I took the parts onto my test bench and hooked them up to 165ft premade SM patch cable (no go), 3ft SM patch cable (no go), 6ft MM patch cable (no go). I tried using different resolutions and different hertz rates 29.97, 30, 59.94, 60 nothing would work. I tried using different computers, phone and even a camcorder.I came to the conclusion that the fiber optic part of these transmitters worked fine. I got a sync light when I connected any of the patch cables. I checked that I was using the correct AB polarity in the connectors. My feeling is that the HDMI encoding mechanism was bad.Regardless of my bad experience I would recommend to anyone looking for a 4K HDMI transmitter to find one that can do 4k @ 60hz. Watching 30hz video really doesn't look good. Might as well just stick to 1080p@60hz.

A lifesaver
I purchased this kit back in 2022 for a long HDMI run I needed to do for a show. Granted, it took a bit of time to figure out the "handshake" between the devices (I should've read the manual first). I used this kit a bunch of times which means it got paid itself, and every time I use it, it simply works. Looking on getting a second set.

Does not come with rack mounting. Missing the bracket.
Went to install this in our led wall production rack and found out there are no rack brackets as advertised.

They actually work!
These HDMI extenders actually work really well. I have them connected through a fiber run that's over 100 meters long and the picture is pixel perfect. The only issue i have is that they get blazing hot, nearly too hot to touch. I'll be modding a couple of SSD heat sinks to attach to them.

The product gets too hot.
It works well. But it gets too hot to touch.I am afraid that it will break down due to the high temperature of the product.

Works great.
I purchased two of these sets of converters due to a lightning strike. I have a presentation environment that uses two projectors to display words on screens on opposite sides of the room. I replaced the old VGA cables with these converters and fiber/HDMI cables. The displays look great, the converters seem to work great, and I no longer have to worry about lightning strikes frying my presentation computer.

not dependable.
Installed this around August 20th and so far I am very disappointed. It gets hot very easily causing it to loose signal. We have to continuously reboot it. I would suggest looking for a more dependable extender
