Very Impressed
Purchased this reel for catfish. I purchased a KastKing Capstan Elite 300 last year that I was so impressed with for the price. My only wish was that they release one in a 400 size to hold more line. Amazon had a sale on this Alijoz 400 recently and I figured it was worth a shot.I was casting 9 Oz weights and huge baits with the brakes turned out to basically zero with no issues two nights in a row. While the largest fish I’ve landed with this reel may have only gone 20 pounds, I think it will handle 50 without issue.I am blown away at the quality of these new low cost reels. Made in China? Yeah. But guess where the $100-150 Shimano’s are made. Dollar for dollar Piscifun and Kastking are taking care of their customers with high quality equipment at affordable prices compared to the same from the big names.I’ll probably be replacing all of my 6500’s with these low profile high capacity reels next year. I add $60 in bearings to 6500’s out of the box to get the casting distance of these reels with no modifications at all. Not to mention, they’re so much more comfortable to use.I have not torn one of these reels down to clean yet. That’s a biggie for me. We will see. If I can’t tear down and reassemble without YouTube I might change my mind.I will be trying other Pisifun reels for crappie as well. Very impressed.

Great reel
The reel seems great for the price. I bought it as a back up to other musky reels but was surprised of the quality and smooth retrieve. It fishes as nice as any reel I have. I’ve only used it for one day so time will tell on durability but for the price it can’t be beat.

Super durable and strong drag.
Im really hard on them. I run 100lb braid and catch 100lb spoonbill with them all day long as a guide. we all use them. The handle can bend with abuse but other than that its the best out there for what I do.

high price but is it high end
I find this reel nice overall, but the drag comes on very suddenly within 4 clicks. When loose, the first two turns basically doesn't change anything. I would be nice if they were able to give us a more gradual progression of drag. As the star wheel has comfortable shape to push, you do feel the drag tightening up through the star, which is a good thing. But if you like to use light tackle, your line might break because the drag is very strong and sudden. It holds a lot of braided line and has clicker. Although I have casted it, I can also use it for trolling because of the clicker. The price is getting up there and it is debatable to go Shimano or not. Shimano only use 4 bearings, the secrets of bearings is Shimano have precise manufacturing, which makes all parts fit together and spin without friction.. they are nice and very salt water resistant, but I don't know about Piscifun long term.Update: I've been using this for trolling, landed over 10 fish now and it is holding up well. This reel does not unwind left and right like a trolling reel, but the line goes out well it does not matter. With the clicker makes it more useful for trolling. The drag is pretty easy to use. I dropped it in lake water once, so far still works like new.

Light weight and high quality for the price. Great value.
Very nice bait caster. Very light and works very well. I spooled with a couple rows of 50lb mono, then loaded the rest of the reel with 80lb braid. Should be able to handle the big cats I'm going after.

GREATEST REEL FOR A LOT OF CASTING & LIGHT FOR THE SIZE
One of the best reels i have come across and use it at the coast pier fishing for Spanish, Jacks, Chopper Blues about anything i can cast at. The people at the pier are impressed how well I am at casting a no wind knots, backlash & ease of reeling in fish and with fast retrieve. The only problem I have & it took me a few times to figure out was if the crank arm was at the top on hard cast it would trip the release but luckily with drag set i did not snap off plugs. I just make certain crank arm is at the bottom on casting & never been an issue since and love the crank with the ease of getting that extra leverage with fast retrieves especially if sharks are in the area so not to get taxed.

So disappointed
I’m so disappointed in this. I wanted to believe. I follow a lot of musky guys on YouTube who swear by these. Well, I just returned from a musky trip to Lake of the Woods, Ontario and this reel broke day #3. I would cast and turn the power handle, and it would just spin a few turns before re-engaging the spool. After a particularly long cast, it just spun and wouldn’t re-engage the spool. I had to pull my expensive musky lure to the boat by hand as my buddies laughed. Wasn’t throwing double 10’s or pounders either. I should have spent the money and bought a Tranxx or a Beast. On the plus side, it was so smooth…better than our Shimano’s and Abu’s. It just lasted 3 days. Guess I’m the smart one saving all that money….if you’re thinking about this….dont.

Good quality and affordable
Really good reel recommend getting if you're in the pnw fishing for salmon/steelhead. Went thru 4 Walmart reels fishing for salmon. Have had no issues with this bait caster reel. Good quality and affordable
