Most importantly, Amazon actually delivered on time! I know that its August but I think I just saw a snowflake.My DDB180 started burning up in my hand after 7 years. A lot of smoke, no flames. I like Bosch and I ordered this one despite some bad reviews. I charged the battery and tried a sheet rock screw in a 2×4. Without a predrilled hole it went right into the wood. Nice power, no effort at all. I put in a drill bit and it turned straight. It didn't have a wobble like some people complained about. Finally, the battery charger is the same model that came with the 180. I checked the batteries that came with the 180 and they fit this drill. I now have 4 batteries for the new drill. There will be a lot of work between charges.

I bought this drill based on the performance of my drill/driver that I've had for 12 years. This drill is somewhat disappointing as it stops cold when drilling through heavy timber like a 6x6 with a 1/2" bit. The bit is new and sharp. Battery life is good.

The Bosch drill is great for average DIYer. It can handle most applications well. I've used it for putting up shelves and assembling furniture, and it handled those tasks like a champ. The 1/2" chuck was handy for different bits, and the batteries lasted through my projects without dying on me.When I tried tackling some tougher jobs, like drilling into hardwood or heavy-duty stuff, it struggled a bit. I could feel it working hard, but it wasn't as powerful as I hoped for those situations.So, if you're into basic DIY stuff and want a straightforward drill for regular tasks, this Bosch kit does the job. But if you're planning on more heavy-duty projects, you might need to look into something with a bit more muscle like a hammer drill or something with a higher voltage.It’s also not the cheapest, but Bosch is a more premium brand so this is expected. I would still recommend the drill based on its build quality and the battery system that can be used with other Bosch 18v tools.

I bought the new, higher torque (480 lb.) model. Bosch actually made it much more powerful than the previous (350 lb.) model and it only weighs 2.75 lbs. so you can use it for extended periods. This drill, like others in this price range is for home (light duty) use. Pros can use it as a backup but it isn't made for them. The soft side case is just the right size. It has room for a spare battery, drill bit case and screwdriver bit case. I bought the Dewalt 20 piece drill bit set and the Bosch 47 piece screwdriver bit set. I expect this drill to last me a long time as Bosch makes great tools. Highly recommended.

Bought this for my craft room as well as my around the house tool. The battery life is awesome and holds for hours! I've not only used it to make numerous things for my shop but also remodeled my craft room. Now I'm addicted to Bosch and have purchased quite a few more of their products. ;-) Thank you!

I own 5 of them already and use them everyday; no need to change bits ,just pick up a different drill! The only problem I have and it is not the tools fault, is thst where I live I need a 220v charger. It would be nice if possable, if the seller could give the option for which voltage you need.
