This company makes realistic looking toy animals at a sensible price, with most of a similar size within the type of creature--a horse or cow may be 5 inches tall and a dog two or three inches tall to go with the same type. The colors are close to realistic, and under normal use, not breakable. This is a pretty Arabian mare with the classic slightly dished face and arched neck.

My daughter is a huge fan of Schleich figurines and has be collecting them for the last couple of years. This model is great looking, but the paint-job had quality control issues. Daughter mentioned this is the second time she gets a defective unit that's made in their Portugal facility, so maybe an issue specific to it. The replacement we ordered came fine and all the details looked great. So, if the person or kid you're buying this for is discerning and detail-oriented, make sure to inspect it well before gifting.

This mare is one of the better quality horses of the 2024 bunch, made from a more solid material than the other rubbery ones. She’s quite beautiful and I like her even better in person than in the photos. The only thing I don’t like is the strange grainy texture.
