Wow. First smart plug I bought. Seamless connection. Easy to integrate with Google Home and other services. Easy to use. The Tapo app is feature rich and user friendly. Waiting for the 10amp version also, which is not sold in India yet.

This one is a nice plug with smart features like home automation scenarios and nice power monitoring on Tapo app. Setup is easy but do read on screen instructions properly.It needs configuration on 2.4Ghz band on b/g/n and 20/40 mode for longer distance coverage in house, so ensure Dual band router is used to run 5Ghz for normal devices and 2.4Ghz for these smart plugs.Also I am using a 5-10 Amp converter plug as wanted to use this with small plugs and it works fine.Also do read if setup is bluetooth or wifi, its written on box, like I received bluetooth setup plug.No drawbacks as such, just the initial setup on Tapo app and manual asked to confirm for orange-blue blinking lights but actually its orange-green lights on the plug. Ignore the light color and proceed with bluetooth setup.

Easy to set-up, and product is working great for scheduling capability. Battery life is good. Worth it.

The device is smart, has multiple positive features like timer, automatic timer every time it starts, schedule, Amazon Alexa & Google home app compatibility, remote control, network coverage, etc. The downside is the tap is too large for iPhone and each device like TP link modem and others require different apps to download, otherwise other devices require one app to automate the full house. So if you need complete smart home automation better to go for some brand that’s app is compatible with all devices. Albeit we can use Alexa app to control this device, Alexa app has its shortcomings like lacks automatic timer, timer, etc.
