Our water supply comes directly from our spring. In the summer we worry about the growth of bacteria, and while we consider investing in hundreds of pounds worth of filtration/uv treatment, this has done the trick. As a side note, we have the container standing by the sink on a resin type kitchen counter tip. It does get a bit slippery (you can really only use one hand to get the water out into the glass which is being held by your other hand), so we have improvised by standing the container on a reed type placemat.

Produced water that smelt of rotten eggs due to lack of use from new
I bought the filter about 2 months ago and followed the instructions for initial set up. In fact I flushed it more than necessary.I filled the cube with only tap water. Though if our water supply ever failed I would use other sourced of water. It had occasional use for the first month and then very little use for 4 weeks. I came to use it today and the water produced had an exceptionally strong rotten egg smell! I almost heaved it was that bad.I emptied some of unfiltered water in the cube and had a sniff. While it smelt distinctly odd - it didn't smell anywhere near as bad as the "filtered" water that came out the Cube's tap.I flushed the cube bottle with clean tap water and flushed clean water through the tap and things did smell better. But still a slight odour compared with the tap water that has no particular odour.Enough of an odour to make me think twice about drinking the "clean" water.I spoke to Lifesaver and they suggested the glycerine on the filter when new had caused the bacterial growth.I suspect If I'd used it every day when first buying it, the issue wouldn't have happened.

Sprung a leak on seam
*Update LifeSaver replaced the tank with excellent customer service* I was very pleased with the LifeSaver Cube, until it started to leak on a seam on the bottom. This cube is only a fews months old and has had an easy life, not dropped of banged so very disappointed in what must be a manufacturing fault? In Africa at present, so cannot return the casing.

Not watertight, leaks through taps
Good strong feel. Shame about the tap leaking pretty much the whole time through the head. Any solutions?

Be patient and wait
It does take a long time just to get a glass of water, but if you got patience go for it
