Small but powerful
Great little radio. Picks up all radio stations in our area. Can use batteries if power outage.

The best old school radio!
Great little simple radio! I listen to this every night to fall asleep. It has a simple knob volume control that I can fine tune to get it right unlike the digital controls. Reception is phenomenal. Glad to find a old school style radio that works so great!

good, loud, speakers
Dial on mine seems to be installed backward (i.e., turning it left moves the dial right?) but sound is good and loud. Fun retro look to it as well, though it's heavier than I anticipated with the big ole' batteries in it

Worth the money. Lightweight. Portable . Has a handle that easy to carry
The volume is very sensitive. It takes 2 D batteries and seems to last a long time. Plus it has an electrical cord which is awesome! The reception is great. It’s very lightweight. It’s easy to use. Just like a tiny little radio. I love it . It’s worth the money.

Will not tune some AM stations in North America.
First of all I like to listen to distant AM stations at night, there are only a couple of AM stations left in Nova Scotia. This radio will not receive 680 WRKO Boston and I suspect the radio is set up to tune in 9KHZ steps used in Europe, I also have another analogue style DSP tuned radio with this problem. This radio has an analogue style tuning scale but relies on a digital signal processor for tuning and tunes in steps unlike a true analogue tuned radio which tunes continuously. In North America the AM stations are separated in 10KHZ increments so the tuning could be off by as much as 4.5KHZ for some stations and not be able to receive them, there is no option to switch the tuning between 9 and 10 KHZ steps as in some other radios, this would not be a problem if there was also a digital keypad that allows you to select the exact frequency. Analogue style DSP radios are not a good idea if you can not switch between 9 and 10KHZ tuning , better to get a DSP radio with direct digital tuning by keypad. The good stuff, very good FM reception, great sound for a small radio, smooth tuning and volume controls, uses 2D cells which should last a long time, also has built in power supply using a removable power cord and not a wall wart. Radio also has option to use an external 4.5V power supply, switch to run on 110 or 220V. Missing is a headphone jack and there is no way to receive FM stereo with one speaker. A quirk of this radio is the tuning indicator moves in the opposite direction of the knob and the tuning scale is numbered in the opposite direction to most other radios. Not for AM radio listeners in North America, good sound and good for FM background music.

Nice little radio
I like the size and the sound is great, bought it mainly for use during storms, and power outages, very simple to operate and stations come in very clear, great price point as well
