High quality, strap is perfect for retention. Best holster ever for Taurus 38 6 round. Very safe and secure, good looking. It prints under a shirt because of size of gun and holster, which is totally legal, at least in my state. In one instance I had to pull up my shirt and open the strap, which had the desired warning result. A nice side feature of the strap is when you pull up your shirt, it helps retain the shirt against the body and not interfere and get your shirt caught up in the draw. I have a small frame S&W but i 'downgraded' to the Taurus to pickup one extra round (to 6). Holster is really great. I'm ordering an extra after several months of use. Hope to never have to do an incident draw, but it's crazy out there. One Love whenever possible.

This is an excellent, attractive, well-made leather holster, fully comparable with holsters priced at 5 times the price of this one!... a perfect fit for my S&W 642.

I am not a review writer, so bear with me. I am not against paying a decent amount for a nice holster for my more expensive firearms, but I picked up this Taurus 856 at a going out of business sale...so sub $300 (actually much sub 300!!! lol)...I have hand made holsters that were more expensive than this 856! I wanted a decent holster, once again, but at a good price. I half heartedly searched a few of my custom joints, but then for the heck of it, searched Amazon. I found this guy and after going through the reviews decided that for the cost, even if it sucked it would not kill me. I was pleasantly surprised. The leather is good, the stitching is good, and the belt clip is secure. The adjustable strap is a nice idea so that it sort of is a one size fits all. No complaints at all. I have seen much worse holsters at two and three times the cost. For not a ton of cash, you can have a decent, leather, OWB holster and not have to justify the crazy prices for custom leather holsters!

Nice and sturdy, holds a Taurus 856 like a glove. You have to custom cut the strap unless you're okay having a flap of it on the belt clip side.

Bought this holster for my 605TORO 3" revolver. It fit great and is well made for the money. But, I recently added a red dot optic to the gun. Since red dots are relatively new to revolvers, an accomodating holster can't be found. I'd welcome input from anyone, especially the manufacturer, as to availability of such a holster. I'm entertaining the thought of approaching a leather craft shop to modify the one I bought.
