OK. Full disclosure: I’ve burned out a few transformers. I’ve had this one for 6 months with good results. This model has an internal circuit breaker that has tripped when it’s been overloaded. The housing is high quality stainless steel. The manual on/off is intuitive and useful for testing when you have connection issues. Overall good value for thr money.

I replaced a unit that had a mechanical timer. What a pleasure to just use some simple settings to adjust the lighting. I reviewed other units which had their electronic programming screen exposed to the outside elements and determined that the sun damage alone would be the early death of those systems. This unit has the electronics inside the weather proof steel box and will not deteriorate from the direct sun. This is a simple timer. Both circuits are programed together. I did not need separate schedules so this works perfectly for my needs. Also, the 300W's are more than sufficient with the LED yard lights.

I just recently purchase this 300W transformer not knowing if this was a good unit or not, I base this decision on good reviews. After receiving this unit I noticed right away it was a solid heavy transformer. When I open it up I quickly realized how well made it was and everything on this was built solid. The directions were simple to follow, and it was easy to hook up. So far it has operated like it should, and just barely runs a warm operating temperature. The only thing that is weak on this would be the photocell, its on the light side and needs to be a higher quality eye. Everything else is top notch!!

Love the ease of use, but the housing leaks rainwater. Built a cover to shed rain off housing.

I just completed my DIY landscape lighting project. This transformer was the icing on the cake. Very well made. Stainless steel looks great after mounting. Very easy to install and setup. Best feature that I have found so far is the manual on/off. This is perfect for testing and fine tuning after installation. Others you would have to either use the photo sensor or set the timer during the testing phase. I would highly recommend.

LOVE, LOVE this timer and can't beat the price for the quality you get. Photocell is a great addition and seals great from the weather. Timer is super easy to set which I really appreciate. Screen lights up bright also which is a plus.

These transformers do not last. I purchased the original unit in 2023. It failed within 2 months. I contacted the company and they replaced it free of charge, I have had the second one installed since then and it worked okay for a year and then it started over heating and tripping the internal breaker. I could reset it but after a time it will not stay reset. For the expense they are not worth what you pay for them.

What I needed for a good price.
