Great thermometer for use on my kamado however does have minor issues.
So I have waited before writing this review as I wanted to test over prolonged periods as initially I was not sure on the longevity of the batteries etc.First of all I must say I am very impressed and I would buy another and I would recommend it.However, this does have some flaws.1. If you are using this on your app on your phone and you walk out of range or you go onto another app the device disconnects and the alarm starts bleeping on the device. I get around this buy using it with my ipad now and just leaving it in the kitchen.2. I had a faulty ambient temp probe after about 6 months where it was reading completely incorrectly, i contacted customer services who got me to perform a test/process to reset the probe which didn't work. However once I advised them of this they did send me a brand new probe out immediately which is working perfect months down the line.3. The App is good overall but If it disconnects during a long cook then the data for temp rises etc. disappears, i.e. you can't see the chart showing how long it has taken to get between temps. This is a pain if you are doing a low and slow cook and want to gauge a rough idea of how long your cook should take.Even due to the above I am still very impressed for the money, 4 probes (1 ambient, 3 normal) Bluetooth connectivity and a reasonably good customisable app is great for this price point. The built in battery is still as good as when i bought it, and on a charge I will get at least 4 long cooks before I feel the need to charge it. I also love the magnets on the back as well, I stick the unit to the metal frame of my kamado whilst cooking and it keeps it out of the way and they are strong enough that it doesn't slide off.I have used other more expensive options and this is better in my personal opinion. Especially the customer service support. I had a far more expensive wireless probe style device from another large company and when it went wrong they said it had broken due to me using it at too high a temperature and they wouldn't honour the warranty! unreal!I hope this review was helpful.CheersShaun

Simple, easy to use and a complete life-saver when grilling / smoking large cuts of meat
A great little piece of kit that's saved my culinary life on multiple occasions when braaing (I'm married to a South African, I get hit by lightning if I say "BBQ" or use anything other than charcoal).Really easy to use, with 3 internal probes and one ambient temp probe. The app is intuitive, providing real time updates from all active probes to your phone via Bluetooth. You can easily and quickly set timers and alarms (both min and max temps) for all active probes, and there are handy template alarms available that have preset temps and temp ranges for things like pulled pork or beef brisket. As you can't fully rely on the built-in grill thermometer for anything requiring time, it's absolutely critical you have a way of reliably measuring and alerting on both meat and grill temperatures - and this gizmo does this perfectly at a fraction of the price of many other remote thermometer options.Photo: 2 x 1.5kg pork shoulders smoked over 8.5 hours last weekend on a Weber Master Touch.

Great for smoking on the bbq, great value
I've been uing this product for 3 months now and have put it through its paces in that time. Have used it to monitor low and slow smoking sessions of 16 hours+ as well as hot and fast. I've used it on my offset, my bullet smker and my kamado and it's been great on all three. The ambient probe can be a bit slow to come up to temp in comparison to a copule of my other thermometers but it's great once it's up to temp. The bluetooth connectivity is very good and has a decent range, in fact I've found the connectivity to be much more reliable than my meater+ and suffers fewer drops, in fact the only drops I've had are when I accidentally back out of the app or close it.The app is okay and quite easy to use, the only drawbacks being: No way to save historic data for each cook and having to press '+' or '-' to adjust temperature targets rather than being able to type in your temp.Overall, this can't be beat for the money and I've just bought a second one.

Fantastic tool for BBQ dishes
The Inkbird IBT-4XS is a brilliant little meat thermometer to be used while grilling or smoking. With the ability to use 4 probes at once, the IBT-4XS allows you to cook multiple items at one time in the Smoker/Kettle.I have used it a couple of times now and have cooked a pork loin and lamb shoulder to perfect temperature thanks to the free BBQ GO App that the IBT-4XS works with. The App if you haven’t used it has 4 sections for each of the probes, and a desired temperature for all the main meats, with an option for you to make your own desired temperature if required. The App is simple to use, and with the Bluetooth option meant I can set the cook up and continue with other things without the worry of missing the alarm. Personally I haven’t found an issue with the Bluetooth distance, but I suppose that may be a problem if you have a large garden and your set up is at the far end as the range is 50 meters. The probes are a good length so it will reach the centre of the meat and the cable doesn’t break even at 240 temperature which I found out on my last cook. The main body has a magnet so it can be put on the side of the BBQ to be kept safe.Really is a great little bit of kit, as anyone who cooks a lot of BBQs they know that the fewer times opening the BBQ the better, and thanks to digital thermometers like this you don’t have to open it at all.
