This endoscope is fantastic, it's a very simple bit of kit and works perfectly, all you have to do is plug it into your phone, install the free app and your up and running in minutes. Using the app you can clearly take image shots or record live images to be stored for later viewing, the endoscope features a up down brightness control to control how much light is needed as lower light always looks better in small spaces and bright light for open voids, I'm very impressed with the quality of this and the extra long semi rigid cable helps to get to even the furthest of spaces, highly recommend this for builders, plumbers, electricians, mechanics, anyone who wants to see places not visible. Also this endoscope come with two attachments a hook and a magnet so great for hooking cables, excellent quality excellent value and would highly recommend

Lovely box, clear instructions and a decent app all add to giving a quality feel to this endescope which has already come in handy today when trying to fish a cable for a ceiling light across the void between ceiling and floor. The semi rigid cable is nearly 5 metres long which should be more than enough for most tasks.You can record video of what you are looking at through the camera, or take snap shots both of which are saved to your phone. These can be in black and white or colour.It’s a bit tricky to get the hang of manoeuvring the camera from a few feet away via the rigid cable but I’m sure it is a skill I will develop. Having a dimmable light built into the camera head makes this a versatile tool and at the current price of £39.99, it is very good value.My only issue is going to be getting it back from my son who is enjoying using it to look in bird nests and other wildlife habitats – proving just how wide the range of uses this has.Excellent for work and play!

I have always wanted a snake camera for around the home and for the car. While I am not a brilliant mechanic, my landlord is a mechanical engineer who checks the cars when necessary. The snake camera is made for IOS devices and requires an adaptor for Android devices. I am not complaining because my landlord has an iPhone. The device connects easily with the phone and does not necessitate a wifi connection. The camera is proficient, considering its minimal size. The cable is very generous in length and allows for deep probing, which is especially useful for me when I check the drain. I disassemble and clean my sinks and drains when they become blocked; I love doing it :D. Moreover, I can do my job easily because the camera is waterproof!I am besotted with the practicality of this camera and my ability to use it to study wildlife and insects. I am an animal scientist and am surrounded by Nature and wildlife. I am undoubtedly delighted to start observing animal behaviour closely and not intrusively.

Nicely packaged and easy to set up.I was a little concerned that I had to download an 'APP' for my iphone in order to use the product, but went for it, and so far nothing bad has happened that I am aware of!The product works very well, and I have managed to recover numerous objects that have been 'lost' to us for some time, under cabinets and furniture that is simply too large to easily move.Having the adjustable light is a bonus, as sometimes you will need the maximum, and at other times, especially when using the accessories you will need a lower output to avoid the light reflecting back off the surface, of the magnet in particular.The image quality seems more than adequate for my needs, and the ability to take photo's or a video are features that at present we do not need, but may come in useful in the future, they do work well having tested them.Having the short length of flexible cable at the 'phone' end is a great idea and certainly aids use of the product. The 'stiff' cable, which is quite long, is really good at allowing you to control the camera as you enter it into crevices and holes, although when at maximum length this may prove tricky.My only criticism really relates to the accessories, and the magnet in particular. When fitted, yes you can still see some area around the lens, but the nature of the design means that you are unable to look directly ahead, which makes using it quite tricky, although you can do so. I cannot help but wonder if the magnet bit had been offset it would have provided a better solution? The other negative when used with the magnet attachment is that the light reflects back off the rear of the magnet housing, and this causes the camera to nothing but white light. Turning down the light level will correct this, but at the detriment of your vision in a dark place.All up this is a very handy product which works well and provides a great solution to many problems. We are constantly finding new uses for it, and also having fun with the grandkids too!

I have tried 3 different DEPSTECH cameras, an all in one with a screen, a Bluetooth connected camera and this plug in and go device.Of all three, this is probably the most practical. Download the app and install it on your phone. Then open the app, plug the camera in and you are ready to go. It has a very clear picture.However a word of warning, this has the Apple proprietary connector so if you have new Apple phone or iPad with the new USB connection it's not going to plug in.I have found DEPSTECH cameras extremely robust and easy to use. The camera connects to your photo album and the operation is seamless. The light on the endoscope is adjustable but the focus doesn't appear to be as it is set for close up operation.It's a really good product and of the three it's the easiest to use.
