This electric jar opener is great. It’s easy to use. It works fine. I’m glad I got it. I like it.

Great product that makes life easier when dealing with those pesky tight lids. It works as advertised. It is durable and very easy to use. I would recommend it for anyones pantry.

I was so excited to get this product because arthritis and a hand injury have made it virtually impossible for me to open a jar.I placed the opener on top of a jar, as instructed, and then pushed the power button. So far, so good. The opener clamped tight. But, then…….NOTHING! The motor just whirred loudly but the lid stayed put! Worse yet, when I attempted to remove the opener from the jar, it would not release! Nor would it power off. I enlisted my son-in-law’s help, but he was unsuccessful too. As a last ditch effort, we even tried removing and reinserting the batteries - a very tricky maneuver when a heavy jar is locked tight to the device. That got it to power off but the lid still would not disengage! I finally decided that I had no choice but return it with my jar of pickled beets firmly attached! I just called it a night and went to bed.In the middle of the night I was woken by a very loud banging noise coming from the kitchen. It was the #$@&! jar opener! It had mysteriously turned itself on (still attached to the glass jar of pickled beets), toppled on it’s side, and was mere inches from vibrating right off the counter and shattering onto my white tiled kitchen floor! What a horrible mess that would have been with pickled beets and glass shards everywhere! I removed the batteries and went back to bed.In the morning I was finally able to pry the device off the jar.Needless to say…I would NOT recommend this product.

The jar opener works great and saves my hands so much pain. I love it so much I'm getting one for my 85 year old father, whose arthritis just makes it impossible for him to open jars now. Easy to use, easy to clean!Highly recommended!

This product worked well for a while. It was extremely helpful.But it broken on the last jar I tried.Help! I really need this.

I used this can opener the other day when I was cooking dinner at home. It opened the can in seconds. Its design is also ergonomic, comfortable to hold and easy to operate. For people with wrist problems or lack of hand strength, this can opener is a kitchen savior. Highly recommended!

I just attempted to open my first jar with my new jar opener. I put in the batteries, positioned the opener over the center of the jar. and pushed the button until the outside claws touched the jar. I then released the button, and the opener proceeded normally. At about the time the lid released, the battery cover flew off, and one of the batteries popped out. That could well have been my fault for not getting the battery door seated correctly. I then noticed one of the rubber claws was still in the package. I tried to find a way to affix the rubber claw to the arm, but there was no way it would stay on. Without that rubber gripper in place, the jar opener is useless. I must have been lucky, in that the jar did open, but without that rubber claw in place, I would not trust it in the future. The three stars because of a broken item, but it did work as advertised and opened the jar. I hope the vendor will step up and provide a solution, otherwise I will have to return the item to Amazon.Update June 2022: Amazon accepted the return of the item, and I requested a replacement item. The replacement item has worked as advertised, and opened a number of jars successfully. So far I have no complaints, and give it a 5 star rating.

Super! I had one for about 15 years. It finally gave out. So I found the same brand. It works great! So, a toast to another 15.
