Q: In minnesota our state bird is the mosquito. from the video it looks like there is open space on each side of door. is that correct? anyone else have

Yes, open space. I'm not worried about it. They'd have to be pretty determined to get in to really use that space, IMO.

Q: Is large the only size available? I'd like smaller version of this for cats.

Yes, the small size will coming soom . but now only have the large size. thank you.

Q: I didn’t receive any screws for my door. Are they suppose to be included?

It's been a while since I put mine in but I don't believe screws were included. I used some short bolts with washers and nuts to spread the tension around each hole. It's held up well and the screen it's mounted into hasn't torn

Q: Is this door big enough for Labrador retrievers?

We have a Brittany Spaniel that measures 23" at the shoulder and weighs 52 lbs. She clears the sides and top with about 2" per side clearance. For a Lab you might want to consider one size larger than the model we got because Labs tend to get big and bulky. This door has been great for us. It saves a lot of getting up and down to let the dog in or out. Good quality too.
