Really good rechargeable batteries
Really good rechargeables. I first bought energizer rechargeable batteries off Amazon and sadly I believe they were a knock off. I torture tested these along side those energizer dec-feb in the worst winter we’ve had (ave temps 20deg f and about 8ft of snow in this period) in my outdoor tree lights. Let them run completely dead and then left them out until April when the snow melted. The tenergy outlasted the energizer by 1 month and when I brought them in to recharge 3 of the energizers gave me issues with 1 ending up unusable. All tenergy batteries recharged as normal. Will be testing the tenergy in the trail cams this summer-fall. The energizers did not do well in the trail cams, showing 3/4 battery life after a full charge when installed and only lasting a couple weeks.

Great products, questionable bundling
This review is for the 8AA/charger bundle.I picked these up to use with some under-cabinet lights that were going through disposable batteries like a hot knife through butter. It's been nice to pop these out when they drain (they last far longer than the disposable batteries did), give them a charge, and pop them right back in.The charger is KISS genius—works on 2 battery sizes (AA/AAA), very intuitive, no struggling to get the batteries in or out, and tells me at a glance how the charge is progressing for each separate battery. Visibility of the charge meters is excellent. USB connection means you can plug it in anywhere (tho you'll have to supply your own AC wall wart or DC car adapter if you want to use those). There's a burr under my saddle, tho.If I had *nine* batteries, I could have 3 at the ready when I need them, then the 3 dead ones would be charged in time for the next replacement, lather rinse repeat. But no. Since it is only *eight*, I have to leave a light out of service while the batteries recharge—which is not particularly fast. (If slow charge means slow *dis*charge, I'm fine with that!) And I'm using the same 6 batteries over and over because I don't think about rotating them. The logical solution to that would be to buy more batteries. Except you can't buy the type of batteries that come with the charger. You can only buy 2 *other* kinds of batteries, with different power ratings. It's not clear to me whether it is safe to charge/use these incongruous batteries together, so I have not bought them. Not sure if the seller has discontinued these blue batteries and is just trying to offload them by bundling them with the charger, but not being able to buy more of the same has been annoying. I originally intended to give 4 stars because of this annoyance; but I'm so happy with the products overall that I didn't want to discourage anyone from buying this brand. My advice would be to buy the charger separately from whichever type of battery you prefer. Also consider buying multiple chargers based on the number of batteries you'll be using. (Yes I know they offer larger chargers, but they are AC/DC only, not USB.)

Worked ok for a year -- but I got a replacement
I bought this a year ago, and initially was happy with it. It charges well, is not too picky with deep discharges (most of them it just charges, where other chargers have problems), and overall was a "plug it in and forget it" type of device.However... from the beginning, there were a few batteries where it would show an error at the end of the charging process. The batteries were good (and good brands, too: Eneloop, Amazon Basics), and it did charge them, but it showed very occasionally this error at the end. At this point it was something like a 4-star review. But now, after one year, it does this with about 50% of my batteries. They are still good (I can test their capacity with another charger that I have, and they are still over 80% of stated capacity), and the charger charges them, but it shows the error at the end of the charging process. And when I contacted support, they simply copped out and blamed the batteries. That is the real reason for the 2 stars. Either they know that this is a problem and they are lying or they don't want to know about problems with their devices (and won't ever improve them). Eventually, I'll have to get a charger from a different manufacturer -- and that's what I recommend people here, too.Edit 2023-04: After quite a bit of back and forth with support, they eventually sent me a replacement. This now works as the first one did in the beginning. Accordingly, I adjusted the stars from 2 to 4. Let's see how long this one lasts.

Replaced one we didn’t like
Got this to recharge our most common used household size batteries which are AA and AAA. We have a older charger that we never really liked. Hard to use and was a 50/50 that it was actually charging right. This one is simple and easy to use. Shows you it’s charging and shows when each battery is done. Between this and the rechargeable batteries we have saved a lot of money and are doing our part to help not fill up the landfill. We would buy this again.

8 slots and able to mix you AA & AAA & 1 battery or all eight.
Throw away all your old chargers. Tenergy TN480U 8-slot beats them all. Small and compact, quality built, mix sizes (AA and AAA). fast, if you use "fast" wall charger. You can charge 1 battery alone if you wish.

Works with Energizer Recharge batteries
This charger is great-- it can fit both AA & AAA rechargeable batteries and is way faster than the old Energizer Recharge station I originally got with the Energizer batteries. And you don't need to put them in 'in pairs'.It plugs into a USB charging port for power. And it will recharge several batteries in about 2 - 4 hours. It's has one quirk-- If you load ALL 8 slots with rechargeable Batteries and one or two of the batteries are more heavily discharged than the rest-- the device will stop charging and flash ERROR. It's like the unit cannot 'balance' the charging load if a couple of the batteries are more depleted than the others. You will need to recharge the heavily discharged batteries by themselves.Otherwise, This beats needing to have a pack of batteries for the remotes.
