Fun
The game has lots of different challenge but not extremely difficult. It's fun for family gatherings or parties before people get too tipsy. The game is easy to follow, and you don't have to be super smart to enjoy it. Whether you're playing with family or friends, it guarantees a good time for everyone.

mystery in the highlands
Delving into the world of Scottish Highlands, I was immediately captivated. The inclusion of online content, especially audio clues, heightened the mystery's ambiance. Having three alternative endings provided unpredictability, ensuring a fresh experience with each playthrough. Invitations set the scene, making participants eager to join the fun. While the game suggests it's for those 16 and up, the themes are indeed mature, and it's most suitable for an older audience. Hosting this gave me an engaging evening of detective work and fun.

Good fun. Needs some preparation and player interaction for the most fun
Used this for an impromptu game night when we had friends round. In total there were 6 which I would recommend as being the minimum. As it was impromptu, it took a little time to get going as I hadnt done any of the pre work and sending information out. This didnt hamper the play or the fun.All of us got into character fairly quickly and the game play was easy to follow. Its really like an interactive game of cluedo with the ending already decided (in fact there are 3 endings). It took us around 3 hours to play but that may have been hampered by not being ready and the addition of a few bottles of wine. For maximum fun you really need to plan this a little ahead and set the scene but can be picked up and played on the go. Player participation of character and dressing up really adds to the fun.Solid 4 stars as for the price of an evenings entertainment was fully worth it. Would I play again? Yes but it may be a little sameish played with the same people as the format will be the same for all 3 endings, just the process of deduction changes.

Easy to play
Having played a variety or murder mystery/escape room type games we found this a little underwhelming. We played with a group of 4 so perhaps would have been better with more people? It was well made and put together and easy to follow. In fact we found it too easy. There are also a set of 'challenge cards' - we started these but found them pointless and too silly to use, though the youngest of us (15) did enjoy them.Perhaps better with a larger group, with more alcohol.

Excellent Family Fun!
This Murder Mystery game is incredible with 4 stories and the ability to keep you entertained and brain breaking for a few evenings. They have a decent variety of different problems to overcome which makes for great moments of discovery with your teammates. Really impressive overall it's nice to see they can do both adult and child games. 5/5

beyond the usual games
I've attended and hosted many gatherings, always searching for something new to keep the mood lively. This murder mystery game did just that. The Scottish Highland theme felt refreshing and, combined with the fancy dress-up, made the evening memorable. What was truly captivating was the option for three different endings, allowing us to replay the game on other occasions. Everyone was immersed, and the dinner parties took an interesting turn.

Very engaging game!
I have a group of friends that love to play this sort of thing and so we all sat down the other night to try this out. It turned out to be much better than I'd hoped. Interesting story and setting, the reusability of 3 different endings means you can play it more than once as well. Very good value for money.

Be careful reading the manual as it gives clues
Overall this was a fun game. I played it with a group of 8 over Thanksgiving weekend, with ages ranging from 13 to 69 and it went well. You each get a name tag, a card with info. about your character, and a random secret traits card to help mix it up a bit so the characters aren't exactly the same each game. Then you introduce yourselves. I recommend reading all of the character info. cards even if they aren't playing. We got a bit confused when clues later referenced characters who weren't playing and with whom we were unfamiliar. We also got a little confused at one point because the game makers had changed the name of a character but didn't change it everywhere in the materials. Not sure why the name was such a big deal that they changed it, since both were typical simple male names. Then we 'discovered' the murder scene, picked up the weapons and went into reading through clues. There are 3 rounds of clues. Round 1 clues are more like gossip and not really clue-ish much at all. Round 2 clues were a bit more helpful, and in round 3 is really when we could deduce who the killer was. We ended up discussing it aloud as a group and had a general consensus of who it was before opening the ending envelope. The instructions said to each fill out a accusation sheet of who you thought it was and why and to share your choice with the group, but since we were cooperating and discussing we skipped that step. We were correct in our assertation. There also were Challenge Cards. We were instructed to do those alongside the round 1 clues, but after reading the first 3, and doing one of them, we realized they were all just added fluff children's games and we cut them out. We didn't want to be up all night and really wanted to just do the nitty gritty bit of the game, with some fun acting mixed in. The challenge cards include such things as listing words about how the murder made us feel that start with each word of the alphabet, playing 'telephone' with a certain phrase on the card, and other games generally played in grade school. None contained any needed information. The game also includes a separate set of round 2 and round 3 clues for additional games. The round 1 clues (gossipy stuff) remain the same. This makes the box include essentially 3 separate games.I dislike how the instruction manual though insists that 3 certain players are playing for each game. And 3 endings. I wish nothing was noted in there and found it did take away from the game quite a bit for the one who read the manual (me). Fair warning to not read the manual if you don't have to and just let one person do it, preferably someone not playing the game. Or have a friend not playing black out that part for you or cover it with opaque tape. You can play the game just fine without any of those 3 characters in there so long as you read all of the character cards and parts throughout the game anyways.

Already openend
I was very hesitant to order the game as many reviewers already stated they received a used game instead of a new one. The same happened to me and the box clearly has been opened before. Because everything seemed to be complete and still looks new-ish, I will keep the game as I don‘t have time to order a different one. Still, if you are looking for a new game do not order. The game itself appears to be from good quality.

Contradictory Details and Misleading Info
I’ve now played this game twice with two different groups. In both sceneries, there was contradictory info making an accurate guess very difficult. The game host manual says which 3 characters to include regardless of the number of players (presumably because those are the 3 different killers in the scenarios), but the ending we played today didn’t have 1 of those 3 as the killer. Of course it was a person I hadn’t assigned so the killer wasn’t even present as they should have been. It was disappointing! If you were playing with all roles filled, that wouldn’t be as big of a deal, but the contradictory info made it very difficult to surmise who the actual killer was anyway. If you purchase this, plan to be the “host” and read through the clues ahead of time to see where the hiccups are.
