This sound reminds me of my childhood. I honestly prefer the square kind that my grandma had on her milk cow but this came at the perfect time and was so cute I needed to have it!!I see one review had theirs break. No idea how that would happen. This thing is hardcore. The strap will likely last the rest of the century and beyond. Super thick leather with strong stitching. The bell itself is sturdy and metal.Really happy with the purchase. I can't believe some are saying it's too small, maybe because the description says "giant". It's true...not giant. This is a good size - the size you would need for a bull. it's great. If you like farmhouse style, you'll love this. I don't think it's for use on an actual livestock - you need a different attachment for that...but for alerting me when the dogs or people come in the back door, beautiful. I smile everytime.

This bell sounds exactly like the cowbells we heard in Grindelwald Switzerland a few months ago.

Bell was in package but nothing else. The colorful “hanger” was not in package. Not worth the effort to return nor do I have the time. I will plan better anticipating poor products.

So this doesn't ring unless you really swing your arm back and forth. Hanging it from a tree branch or gate will not do it.This is an very pretty and striking piece. I am using it as part of a very large christmas centerpiece but first I tried it on a gate, but even slamming the gate wasn't enough to do more than a small settling sound.The bell is very gold. The clapper is unpainted and only visible if you turn the bell upside down.
