Vertical is the best orientation
I love these vertical-opening snack bags so much better than the horizontal orientation. You can pour out things like protein powder into drinks and not have it spill all over the place like it would with the east-west version. I'll keep buying these over the alternative as long as they make them!

Expensive but can’t find at Target anymore
Like that they have a smaller opening so if you accidentally drop it like kids can, entire contents don’t spill. Kind of expensive but can’t find them at Target anymore.
