Love it!
I’ve been using this machine for about a month now but I wanted to use all the features and give it some time before I wrote a review. I was a barista for several years and this is my fourth? at-home espresso machine in a few years, and I LOVE it. I genuinely didn’t know you could make espresso with bright crema on top at home until I got this machine. The texture of my lattes is smoother and creamier, the quality is better, and it’s so easy to use.I’ll start with the cons because I only have a few:•the steaming wand doesn’t move as much as others I’ve used and if I have a full pitcher of milk I either have to life the machine or spill the milk to remove it once it’s steamed. It also occasionally takes a bit of time to get going.. initially it seemed like it was getting slower over time but it seems more sporadic now.•the auto shutoff is way too quick, IMO.PROS:•The water tank and drip tray are both really large and do not have to be refilled or emptied often•very straightforward and easy to use once you figure out your initial preferences•there are several options for grind level, water heat, etc and once you figure out the best one for your coffee it makes really high quality espresso every time•the double shot is larger than most which I really like, but there’s also the single shot option• it’s SO easy and mess-free to grind and tamp the beans•milk frother can get milk really hot, and really smooth•I love the americano option, it makes things so easy• the cold brew is pretty good considering how quickly it can be made

Love this thing
LOVE THIS.Got it as a gift for my bf last year- he uses it everyday and LOVES it. It is easy to understand, the tray catches the majority of his messy grind crumbs, & the used grinds are easy to empty with a tap into my compost bin. It brews strong, well heated espresso. I personally love the steamer for my milk/creamer.The auto clean function reminds him to clean it at a certain interval, so I love that.

Transform Your Home Brewing with De'Longhi La Spec
I recently started using the De'Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo, and it has truly transformed my coffee-making routine! From its elegant design to its impressive functionality, this machine is a game-changer for coffee enthusiasts.First and foremost, the build quality is outstanding. The sturdy construction and sleek aesthetic make it a standout addition to my kitchen. It feels professional, which adds to the excitement of brewing my morning coffee. One of my favorite features is the dual heating system. It ensures that both the espresso and milk are prepared at optimal temperatures, which is crucial for achieving that perfect balance in flavors. The built-in grinder is also exceptional—grinding fresh beans right before brewing unlocks a whole new level of aroma and taste. I appreciate the adjustable grind size, which allows me to experiment with different coffee strengths. The milk frother deserves a special mention. It creates rich, velvety froth that elevates my lattes and cappuccinos to café quality. With easy-to-use controls, I can customize the texture and temperature to suit my preferences, making every cup feel special.Another highlight is the user-friendly interface. Even if you’re new to espresso making, the guided controls and helpful tutorials make the process straightforward and enjoyable. I felt confident experimenting with different recipes and techniques from day one.Overall, the De'Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo is an incredible investment for anyone serious about coffee. It combines style, innovation, and ease of use, delivering consistently excellent results. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their home coffee experience!

Grinder is useless.
I agonized for months over which espresso machine to get. Finally decided on this one, based on great reviews (though largely from pwople who had received a free machine) during Prime Days. It was delivered on a Saturday. Within an hour I had it unboxed and was working on 'dialing in' my beans of choice. After an hour, I was out still espresso-less, out of beans and out of time. Picked up more beans early the next morning and had to start the 'dialing in' process over. It's a tedious process of grinding, tamping, and seeing if the machine can brew. If it's too fine, you have to start over after adjusting the grinder one level. Over and over and over and over and over I did this, setting the grind coarser each time. Each time, it told me the grind needed to be coarser still. I repeated this process until I'd exhausted the grind options. Out of curiosity, I adjusted the grinder to starting point, ground the beans, and put them aside. Ground more beans on the coarsest setting, and compared those to the first ones. It was the same grind. There was 7 or so levels between the settings, but the grind was the same. So while I was moving the dial as directed to a coarser grind, nothing was changing. So, over $14 of beautiful organic coffee wasted. Not a single drop of espresso made. And now, the "return is delayed" at some point in the process, so my gift card money and rewards points are tied up because it was defective product, so must be reviewed and processed by someone...somewhere. My search for an espresso machine goes on. De'Longhi is likely off my list of brands.
