Top Gear - Box Set [DVD]

The reasons why we watch Top Gear are wide ranging, but whatever joy you get from watching the show you will also get from this box set.If you watch it for the very fast cars then "Back in the Fast Lane" with it's supercar lineup from start to finish will satiate that urge, although if you are expecting to see James May and Richard Hammond in that production you will be disappointed. James provides one voice over and Richard about 3 sets of footage. The rest is entirely Jeremy Clarkson. And very very very pretty cars going very fast. If you enjoy the general tomfoolery and insane stunts of a normal Top Gear show then "Winter Olympics" is the DVD for you; it's a stand-alone episode with stunts ranging from sensible to mad. And if you watch the show for the competitions or Richard Hammond, then "Revved Up" has lots of both to keep you entertained. "Winter Olympics" is probably the most complete DVD when viewed separately, but the other two DVDs still have a lot to offer.The outtakes included in "Revved Up" and "Winter Olympics" are funny but very short - they must either get a lot of it right first time round or the rest of the mistakes are too crude to be shown even on DVD. There are Stig features on all three DVDs, although the one on "Winter Olympics" is a bit too drawn out. Footage of all three is not repeated bar one stunt - the bobsleigh vs Mitsubishi Evo race - which is on both "Revved Up" and "Winter Olympics".As a box set, I love it. It's definately worth what you pay for the entertainment you get, and it's a laugh - just as Top Gear itself has proven to be over the last few years.

A DVD box set with the words Top Gear on it is definitely worth picking up as all top gear titles are very funny as well as informative on the latest cars to pick up and is something fun to watch on a Sunday afternoon.

These DVDs are superb entertainment and great value for money, I wondered if this trio of crazy gasoline fueled junkies ever gave up being suicidaly active with cars.So I looked at the collection of out takes from Top Gear on You Tube and the answer is no, on and off these fantastic DVDs the mayhem caused, funny episodes contain a deep love for entertaining the public and deep down saying that even in these times of cost cutting you can still have emense fun with seriously mad cars and talented drivers.All the DVDs in this range are good value for money...

this has got to be one of the most boring series on bbc tv,enouge to make you fall asleep and wake up in a bad mood. three boring drips feeble atempt at humour and race each other like juvenile delinquents to see who has the best vehicle and the biggest .....well lets just say the vehicles are an extention of their shortcomings.this show is equalivant to watching old women in an old age home knitting .

I loooove Top Gear UK and was very happy when I received it in a timely fashion. However, I was disappointed when it wouldn't play on my DVD player due to the fact that Im in the US and the regional settings are different. Luckily, I was able to connect my laptop to my TV and watch the DVDs. Very Happy :)

Purchased this for my partner who loves Top Gear, out of all the DVD's there were only a couple of parts that we had actually seen on tv which was brilliant . It was well packaged, turned up the next day and was in perfect condition. Brillian choice and would recomend to anyone that loves Top Gear!!!
