Essential item for every home
Many people seem to think you have to be a hypochondriac to own medical devices like this. As a trained paramedic, albeit a long time ago, I totally refute this claim. The poor NHS is on its knees trying to cope with the demand for their services. It’s our duty to help by taking care of our own health as much as we can. Blood pressure is a great insight to our general health. As a sufferer of hypertension (high blood pressure) it’s important for me to know if the tablets are doing their job or not. This blood pressure monitor from 1byone is a relatively low cost but well-made example of a home blood pressure tester. There are cheaper wrist testers about they aren’t very accurate. Upper arm cuffs, like this one, give the best accuracy. The cuff is easy to use with its Velcro fastenings and printed markings to the best positioning. The display on the monitor is large and easy to read. It shows the usual two pressure readings and also your heart rate. It will also display a warning if your pulse hasn’t got a regular beat. This is very useful in my own case. The only negative I would have is that the pipe running from the cuff to the monitor is a little short. Not a deal breaker though. At £25.99, at time of writing, it’s very economical to buy for such a quality and useful blood pressure monitor. 100% recommended.I hope you found my review helpful.

Good home kit.
Recent purchase, received this week. Used for last 3 days twice per day. Results of pulse readings compared with pulse oximeter and both the same. Syncs well with iphone/ipad, showing results in several formats. Display bright and large. Device seems sturdy, looks smart, can't comment on how long the batteries (not supplied) will last as haven't had the device long enough as yet. I did opt to purchase the plug in power supply which I think is essential (also not supplied). The cuff is well made easy to apply/use, however the lead isn't that long, so best first apply cuff to your arm, then connect it to the machine thus preventing accidental damage when moving your arm while applying the cuff. Cuff suppled is an adult cuff (for upper arm use only) measurements of between 22cm-32cm. If you bicep/upper arm is below or above these measurements the cuff will not fit you and any readings will be potentially inaccurate. Supplied with black carry case which is just large enough to include the power supply if purchased. Device will record and store the data from 2 users. Is for home/personal use only. Good price, prompt delivery, so far pleased with purchase.

perfect
This is a very simple blood pressure monitor. It has a very large monitor screen and is extremely simple to use. The monitor has 3 big buttons on the front, The device requires 4 AAA batteries to operate, just put them in the back of the device, plug in the arm band and that's it! The monitor measures your blood pressure and returns the results in the clear LED display. The monitor is extremely accurate, I measured my blood pressure recently at the doctors and wanted to see how this device compares and was surprised to have it extremely close to what I was when the doctor did it. The monitor is large and portable because have box so if needed, it can be taken on the go. The strap is easy to adjust and can easily fit on someone's arm, no matter how big or small it is. The guide has a scale and explanation of what the numbers and indicators mean if you ever forget them.

Good monitor with a nice display and memory but a rather small cuff and a poor app
A good blood pressure monitor that keeps a record of readings with date and time, which is much better than my last simple Omron, and at a lower price than Omrons with this ability. Works well, good display.Cuff is nice but Rather Small: I'm an ordinary man, not a body-builder nor obese and it is only just large enough. The app allows me to transfer them to my phone and add a note, but just to 1 reading when many were downloaded! And there it stops. I can't edit notes. Despite being forced to have an online account, I can't see readings online or transfer them for analysis and storage. Pretty useless app!

Easy to use and well-designed
After having a few high blood pressure readings at medical checks, I was advised to buy my own monitor to see if I was suffering from 'white coat syndrome'. I received the monitor quickly and very well packed and have found it very easy to use, As I have chunky upper arms, the larger cuff is just right for me. I don't know if the readings are accurate or not but hope that they are, as taking measurements in the comfort of my own home is giving me lower readings which are pretty much normal. The monitor is a good design and feels like a well made and well-designed piece of kit at a good price. I don't know how long the batteries will last but will either top up with a pack of 12 from Poundland or possibly buy the a/c adapter which on reflection would have been a better idea in the first place as I could have saved postage.

Returned as I wasn't happy with the accuracy.
I found the unit easy to use and it appeared to do everything I wanted, which was to record the results. However I was rather concerned that a BP reading taken a little while after taking one gave results that were too far away from the previous results. I also tried with another Omron unit that doesn't record and although not identical they were close.I didn't like the fact that results get put on a server somewhere and a link is emailed to you so you can download the results.Outcome: I sent it back and purchased an Omron that can record results.
